ThriveAgric made 2023 a remarkable one for me and I cannot forget in a hurry! From working with an amazing communications team - my real guys, to telling the story of our growth and the various strides we’re making in the agriculture space. One of the profound things that keeps us moving and highly instructive for me is the exemplary leadership I’ve seen in our very own CEO Uka Eje. It’s the way he vividly communicates the vision, helping us to see our parts in that direction and not without an equal effort in providing all necessities to do really well right there. And there comes Ayodeji Arikawe, our Co-Founder & CTO, always ensuring the best is given from ideation to implementation. Working on various projects with several folks on the entire team could only have have been made possible in an innovative environment like ThriveAgric - the likes of Oshone Anavhe, our dynamic Vice President of Operations, Fisayo A. a meticulous product analyst, Daniel Olorunfemi, product manager per excellence, Samirah Bello leading our partnerships team and always on the go with numerous impact-oriented programs… the list is unending! One thing I’m definitely taking out of 2023 is the will to push boundaries… I’ve learnt to own a process regardless of how strange the trajectories might appear at first conception. IT IS POSSIBLE! What to expect in the new year? Hahahaha, more possibilities, more creativity, no limits! The stories will be interesting and I’ll be here to tell you about them. ✌️✌️ #2023outlook #yearinreview #ThriveAgric

Calix and candy bars might seem entirely unrelated. But I came across an interesting piece in the Economist that resonated with me because the idea that a company’s purpose can guide company leadership links Calix and Mars, Inc. in an interesting way. In a recent post I talked about a company’s purpose being only as good as the actions it enables. The Economist cites the Mars company as getting the balance between purpose and profit dead right. Which is another way of saying that for Mars, purpose isn’t just a statement of aspiration. It guides the business to make money and do good. (And for the record, they are making a lot of money.) The article cites Mars’ long-standing belief in “mutuality” — putting the interests of stakeholders like customers, workers, communities, and the environment — right beside classic shareholder interests (profit, growth, etc.). For Calix, our purpose — transforming society one community at a time — means that, by definition, we have to work with our customers to do good. We can’t transform communities by ourselves, and our world-class technology and broadband platform is a means to an end, not the end itself. How does your company’s purpose relate to how it leads and acts in the world? Articulating a purpose is no easy feat, and I still find many companies would do well to revisit their words on a page to see how they are showing up in the real world. https://lnkd.in/ezdTAFuJ #purpose #purposedrivenleadership #leadership #stakeholdercapitalism

Great thought Guillermo Fracalossi! I would like to add that a clear #purpose defines the field and roles for the collaborators who are the ones who carry the strategy forward, having the invitation to respond, how do I want to collaborate with this purpose from my role? A clear purpose defines and clarifies what is done, propelling the organization itself like an arrow towards the market. BMC Strategic Innovation
REDEFINE your business… put PURPOSE at the core of your Strategy Companies have long been building purpose into what they do, but usually it’s seen as an add-on. As a way to, say, give back to the community. However, it is interesting to see the results of a study focusing on High Growth Companies carried out some years ago by T. Malnight, I. Buche, and C. Dhanaraj. Actually the study looked at the three classical strategies known to drive growth: creating new markets, serving broader stakeholder needs, and rewriting the rules of the game. To their surprise, they discovered a fourth driver they hadn’t considered at all: PURPOSE A key finding is that purpose played 2 important STRATEGIC ROLES: It helped companies REDEFINE THE PLAYING FIELD, and it allowed them to RESHAPE THE VALUE PROPOSITION. And that, in turn, enabled them to overcome the challenges of slowing growth and declining profitability. A Good example is #Mars Petcare; their purpose “A Better World for Pets” guided its expansion from pet food into the larger ecosystem of pet health. Another example is #Securitas; their purpose “Contributing to a Safer Society” led the firm to redesign its offering to include not just physical guards but electronic services and predictive solutions. In our experience at BMC Strategic Innovation, purpose can be a great driver of business performance. However, companies should consider it as a core part of their strategy and not just an “add-on”. Why is Kämbel the Pleinert & Partner Mascot? 🌟 Firstly, because they are a camel: camels are efficient and effective, goal oriented, use resources wisely, think in the long term and arrive at their objectives even under challenging circumstances, where others may fail… 🌟 Second, because they are a stuffed animal: we feel that stuffed animals represent positive and friendly feelings, and humor – taking seriously our mission, but not taking ourselves excessively seriously 🙂 🌟 And finally, because of historical reasons: Pleinert & Partner was founded in Zurich, where the Guild of the Kämbel ('Zunft zum Kämbel') used to be the association of small business, and we do indeed focus on SMEs #newwork #organizationaldesign #mascot

What do you see in this photo? If you said a #daretobedifferent challenge, you'd be right! At Luminari Partners, we've all had an experience or two where it feels uncomfortable to do something different, to go outside of your comfort zone. But the beautiful thing about discomfort, is, that in the unknown, that is where the best magic can happen. Over the last few weeks, we have seen a real life transformation of our clients - clients that were shy about embracing their new twist on a product or idea. But once they saw that they could be different and still be themselves, there was no going back! A foundational value of Luminari Partners, we live the #daretobedifferent business lifestyle. For Sheila Johnston, Luminari Partners Chief Growth Officer, daring to be different means to push through #leadership and #creative challenges. Her unwavering commitment to #leading with #empathy and purpose has lead to decades of experience in delivering solutions that are not only sustainable, but meaningful. For Cheryl Nobert, Luminari Partners' Chief Operations Officer with an infectious laugh, she will always be real with you. Putting facts and data first, Cheryl's solutions are grounded in realism and action. No joke, you'll find her with a calculator in hand during Costco runs to maintain her commitment to nothing but numbers. (Spoiler alert, stay tuned for a future social media post about this very thing)! So now that you know how Luminari Partners dares to be different, we want to know! How do you dare to be different in your every day? And more importantly, are you willing to take the next step in your #daretobedifferent journey? 📷 Peaceful Pets Petsitting Services featuring one of Luminari Partners' founding pups, Duke the beagle.
