Be aware of what you say to fast bowlers. Understand the differences between everything A bowler can still be blocked and braced even if the front knee is slightly flexed. It’s what happens after collision that determines if it’s then collapsing and serving little purpose for the delivery sequence The main message is simple. The front leg has to serve a purpose. It can’t just crumble under pressure. Whether it allows hip hinge or pivot it needs to be stable to add value to the kino sequence Another slide for my elite presentation. Getting ready to present at another coach conference in Holland Educating the world on the evolution of fast bowling. Combining old fashioned values, common sense, knowledge of movement, understanding of motor learning with recent no seen day sports science research Think differently, trust the process and respect the principles #pacelabprinciples #coacheducation #pacelabevolution

🚀 Nothing is left to chance. The factor of momentary improvisation is minimized. The 1000 Passes methodology is a futuristic one, where the player is the one asking the questions and is also the one finding logical answers to everything that will later be put into practice. ✔ The 1000 Passes methodology is structured on three basic pillars: the synergy between the ball and the foot, the angles of passes, and the science of manipulating the opponent. All players are constantly creating, both when receiving the ball and when passing it. They must always achieve something from every action they take. Want to learn more? Ball Sweep! This simple activity is great for working on a number of skills, such as midline crossing and projected actions! Just grab a broom and some balls and you're ready to play! Have a partner roll balls towards the "sweeper" and the sweeper has to move the broom across their body (not forwards) to hit the oncoming balls. Decrease the challenge by using larger balls, such as beach balls, and move at a slower pace. Increase the challenge by using different sized ball and having them roll at rapid fire! Add in themes to make it even more fun! Are you a hockey player scoring goals? Is your home being invaded by slime that you have to knock away? Have fun! This video depicts a person standing and using a broom to sweep in a lateral fashion to "sweep" the balls being rolled towards them away. #spiralfoundation #sensoryprocessing #sensoryprocessingdifferences #spd #sensoryhealth #sensoryprocessingresearch #occupationaltherapy #OT #OTactivity #pediatricOTactivity #athomeOT

What does the wolf turn in gymnastics teach leaders about branding? 🤔 It was riveting to watch the Women’s Olympic Gymnastics. After being completely awestruck by the feats of Simone Biles, Rebeca Andrade and the other incredible gymnasts, it feels EASIER to abstractly translate lessons in branding than it does to imagine making my OWN body do literally ANY of their skills. (When was the last time YOU did even a cartwheel?!) 🙈 Right, so how does THIS relate to branding… The wolf turn is a complex move that requires strength, balance and inertia. A gymnast’s arms, legs, shoulders and core must aligned over a point of support - their foot. This alignment creates balance, allowing the gymnast to spin (up to 3x! It's wild). In branding, your core identity - who you are and what you believe - is that point of support for all other functions of your organization. Your culture, your image, your vision, and ultimately, your reputation are anchored to your identity. The stronger your identity, the easier it is to support everything else - and do complex maneuvers (like growth, innovation and impact). Judging a gymnast's performance is like how the marketplace reaches conclusions about your brand. Specifically with the wolf turn, the judges evaluate the start and end position of the gymnast's foot. They also judge how easy it looks (despite all the difficult coordination taking place internally). If we're talking about identity here, that means that your ability to remain true to who you are and deliver on your promises matters. Your customers' experience and perception are shaped by of this. So what's the takeaway for leaders? 1. Strengthen your identity - uncover your purpose and what you value. 2. Align your vision, culture and image around your identity - use communications to make these connections. 3. Build energy, focus and willpower - engage everyone in your organization to make it happen! 4. Trust the process and your system - you won't know if you can rotate 3x on a 4" beam unless you try. Experiment, adjust, strengthen, and try again. Easy right? 😅 Consider our consultants at idgroup your future coaches. Let's go for the gold. 🥇 🥇 🥇 #branding #Olympics #leadership #SimoneBiles #gymnastics #culture #strategy For fun, here's more about the wolf turn, because wowowow. https://lnkd.in/gb4EHczd

Today is National Pickleball Day! Seemingly overnight, pickleball has taken the country by storm. Pickleball is like any other form of exercise - it’s important to take it slow, especially when starting out. If you are transitioning from tennis to pickleball, remember that each sport hits individual areas of the body very differently. You may have to adjust not only your skills but also your conditioning regimen to keep your body in top shape. Dr. Peter M. Prokopis, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity specialist at Sports Medicine North, shares tips for staying healthy and injury-free when playing pickleball. Visual tracking is crucial for tennis players as it helps them anticipate the trajectory of the ball and adjust their positioning and strokes accordingly. Elite players have honed their ability to track the ball with precision, allowing them to react faster and make split-second decisions on how to return the ball effectively. Training exercises that focus on improving visual tracking can greatly enhance a player's performance on the court. https://lnkd.in/gGAbzJqq https://lnkd.in/gn7cMnn8

👊 Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Air Force Academy Foundation and Association of Graduates
EXCELLENCE OFTEN COMES DOWN TO THE BASICS There’s a scene in the iconic 80s movie, “Bull Durham,” where young hot-shot pitcher Ebby Calvin LaLoosh (played by Tim Robbins), who’s been getting lit up by batters because he’s lazy with developing his game, brags that he’s got a Porsche with quadrophonic Blaupunkt stereo system. With all that, he argues, what else does he need to get to the majors? Trying to reach the wayward young pitcher, his veteran catcher Crash Davis (played by Kevin Costner) implores him that he doesn’t need a quadrophonic Blaupunkt. What ne needs, Crash implores, “is a curveball!“ Boom! So often, we get distracted by bells and whistles and fail to successfully execute the fundamentals. The fundamentals, as Crash Davis knew, are the key to success and excellence. As Crash understood, doing the little things right is first required to getting the big things right. Worry less about quadophonic Blaupunkts and more about throwing curveballs.

Ready to hit longer and straighter drives? Read below... 🧵👇🏼👇🏼 Your mind is making decisions for you... When you have the clubface out of position... your mind is instructing your body to compensate. Trying to help you hit it better. Conversely... when the clubface in a good position your mind is instructing your body to react in a better way. Essentially.... your mind and body will self organize. Casting is good? Believe it or not... casting is a good thing. Especially with a driver. This isn't even debatable. 3D motion (which you're about to see) has shown this. In fact... even the great Jack Nicklaus said you should be releasing at the top of the swing as long as you moved your weight forward. Casting helps square the clubface early which is what we want. You're turning too much... Amateurs tend to turn to much. Both in the backswing and the downswing. Once you manage the clubface... your turn doesn't need to be as much. Making your swing more efficient. You're going to love this video... It goes over some crucial parts of the swing that will help get your driving dialed in. https://lnkd.in/e8DqAgKv If you enjoyed this tip...
