Canadian HR Team of the Year  

Aecon's talented Human Resources team has been recognized by HRD Canada as the Canadian HR Team of the Year (companies with 500+ employees). The team was proud to be on-hand at the 2023 Canadian HR Awards in Toronto to accept the award.   Bravo team Aecon!   

Bruce Power’s Unit 6 connected to Ontario's grid 

Following the successful Major Component Replacement (MCR), Bruce Power ’s Unit 6 has been connected to Ontario’s electricity grid to provide clean, reliable power to the province for decades to come.  

The Unit 6 MCR began in January 2020 and was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. It is the first unit to be returned to service as part of Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program. Units 3-8 will be refurbished over the next decade to power Ontario forward, extending the operation period to 2064 and beyond. Congratulations to the entire Bruce Power team and our joint-venture Shoreline Power Group for their tremendous work!

Road to Net Zero goes bilingual

Road to Net Zero was launched last year as a platform to host relevant discussions about industry practices that are leading the way to a more sustainable construction future.
