Norwegian Gov. supports Rare Earth development

Anita Krohn Traaseth, the CEO of the Norwegian Government Innovation office (Innovation Norway) visited our client REEtec today, together with a delegation of 14 officals. REEtec is a technology Company that has developed an emission free and Green technology for production of Rare Earths such as Neodymium and Terbium. Innovation Norway is the key Government representative that has supported the development. Mrs Traaseth was very encouraged by what she saw today, and is very happy to see how this plant makes it possible to also develop a lot of other green technologies.  Rare Earths are elements that are difficult to obtain and process. Very often, the environmental footprint is substantial, and sometimes there are substantial supply disruptions. The materials are used in all kind of high tech applications, such as windmills, cellphones, laptops, lasers, EVs etc. Development of a sustainable energy production globally is hard to imagine without these materials. The Norwegian plant use a totally new technology. Indeed, it is fast and without emissions. Capacity is expanding manyfolds in the coming year. Innovation Norway has supported the technology development and is proactive in promoting it also abroad in its extensive global network.
