Today, Avi Gurfinkel presented his work with the Detroit 2030 District during the MI Healthy Climate Corps Showcase for the American Climate Corps Michigan site visit at the Detroit Institute of Arts, which was followed by a tour of Rivera Court by Barbara Heller. The Detroit 2030 District is a private -public nonprofit in which aims to assist building owners & managers in reducing energy, water and green house gas emissions from transportation. The District is a part of a national collaboration and is the 16th District in North America. It is FREE for building owners & managers to be a member. The District will provide educational events and promote open dialogue between the Private & Public sector. Any building owner in Detroit can participate (even if outside the District boundaries). The District is a strategic initiative of the U.S. Green Building Council, Detroit Region.
