About us
Job Corps is the nation’s largest residential career training program and has been operating for more than 50 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over 2 million individuals since 1964. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to three years. In addition to helping students complete their education, obtain career technical skills and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, childcare and transportation. Job Corps graduates either enter the workforce or an apprenticeship, go on to higher education, or join the military. Learn more at www.JobCorps.gov.

1970 Wolf Creek Job Corps alum and former governor of Idaho, Sergio A. Gutierrez, visited his former campus for the 60th anniversary to share the impact Job Corps had on his life. He went on to earn his juris doctor degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and became a practicing lawyer, and eventually the governor of Idaho. David is now working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science and acquiring more industry-standard certifications to one day work in cybersecurity or AI. Congratulations and good luck, David! 🎉
