According to a report from Grammarly, miscommunication at work is a $1.2 trillion problem, translating to roughly $12,506 wasted per employee per year. Another report from Axios HQ states that 55% of workers lose up to 2 hours each day clarifying details they need for their jobs. We've seen numerous companies attempt to tackle this massive issue, with Slack and Microsoft Teams at the forefront, becoming integral to many businesses. Yet, despite the rise of various internal communication platforms, no company has been able to dethrone email. 📨 Email remains the most used platform for internal communication, with 94% of businesses relying on it, as reported by Workshop. While email may have its issues, there doesn't seem to be a more effective platform for internal communication, yet... What forms of communication does your company use? Jerry's Corner asks the question: Is the AI bubble bursting?: With everything happening in the stock market, is the AI bubble bursting? 📉 It seems so, as investors' doubts about AI are rippling through the stock market, causing major drops in stock prices following weaker-than-expected earnings reports from big tech companies and continued heavy spending in AI development. According to Bloomberg, recent earnings reports from 6️⃣ of the "Magnificent Seven" showed that year-over-year growth has dropped to almost 30% in Q2, down from the prior period of 50%. Along with slowed growth, we continue to see big tech companies such as Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, and others invest heavily in the AI race. At the end of the day, the question that all investors are asking is, "Is all of this worth it?" The answer is both yes and no. If you're looking for short-term returns on generative AI investments, it may not be worth it, as the initial costs are far greater than the value created in the near future. However, if you're investing in the long-term potential of generative AI, it could be worth it, as this novel technology has the potential to revolutionize industries.
