The Shearman & Sterling London office has once again partnered with School in a Bag - a charity that transforms young lives through education and provides a passport to a future out of poverty. Our volunteers packed 200 School Bags filled with educational resources that will be distributed to disadvantaged and disaster-affected children in Ukraine and Poland. It's Christmas Jumper Day! 🎄 We raised money for our London Office Charity Partner AFK | Working With Disability which helps children and young people with disabilities and autism live more independent, fulfilling lives. Volunteers also packed and wrapped boxes and wrote cards for people in Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) halfway homes. Spitalfields Crypt Trust helps people in East London recover from addiction and homelessness with the aim of transforming their lives. Thank you to everyone for your donations, for joining in and for the wonderful selection of Christmas jumpers!

In celebration of the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 on 3rd December, we are proud to reflect on a wonderful year of supporting AFK | Working With Disability our London Office Charity Partner. AFK helps children and young people with disabilities and autism live more independent, fulfilling lives by providing mobility equipment, employment support, training and promoting self-advocacy. So, what have we done this year? ✅ Many from the London office took part in the January Salary Sacrifice ✅ AFK Trainees supported our Turkey/Syria Earthquake appeal bake sale ✅ Volunteers abseiled down the Olympic Orbit ✅ We have provided pro bono support on multiple projects A massive thank you to everyone Shearman & Sterling who has played a part and to Lyn Prodger and everyone at AFK for making this partnership so fun!

Back by popular demand, we hosted an exhibition of artwork by Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) students in our London office. It was our biggest exhibition yet! 2023’s theme was ‘Transformations’ and students from the Arts Classes at SCT’s Training & Development Center created artworks to express what this means to them. We’re very proud to have SCT as one of our long-standing community partners and to support the amazing work that they do helping their beneficiaries achieve lasting recovery and a more fulfilling life. #probono #csr
