Hi! My name is Alyson McKay! As a therapist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges, I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. I work with individuals and couples who are dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, life transitions, grief, and trauma.
I use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, with various evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and more. The most important treatment modality will be the one that best suits your needs. Completed level 1 of Gottman training for couples.
