We are often faced with circumstances which prevent us from experiencing the feelings of joy, peace, and hope which we long for. Managing day-to-day obligations and expectations can make us to feel out of balance and cause us to experience negative emotions. Meeting with a therapist who has a kind, thoughtful and objective eye can often assist in reclaiming the sense of balance, wholeness and positivity we've lost. If this sounds familiar, I would be happy to meet and discover if my training and 25+ years of experience can assist in restoring a sense wellness and satisfaction in your life and your relationships.

Currently taking clients for >diagnostic evaluations<, couples, & >group therapy<. I am a caring, evidence-based, and holistic (consideration of the whole) therapist looking forward to challenging cases from people needing my expertise. Making use of a wide variety of therapies, from verbal to non-verbal, devoting much time on each of the select cases I take, and engaging in colleague consultations, I am often able to help with even the most challenging of issues. I also see children, doing family therapy even for the toughest kids. You'll see the difference family support makes, rather than my just trying to "fix the kid".

After working with people in psychotherapy for 42 years I understand that every new person who comes to see me is in emotional crisis, usually frightened, and has mixed feelings about seeking help. I experience every person as unique; initially, it is critical for people to know that they are working with someone who is non-judgmental and worthy of their trust. I still believe that the essence of good therapy is empathy, tactful directness and a collaborative approach that helps people make and internalize changes that will improve their relationships and impart a greater sense of well-being.

Greenwich Psychology Group offers Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to adolescents. Our clinicians have specialized training in providing DBT for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, and emotional regulation. We focus on the core principals of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotional regulation, Interpersonal Efficacy, and Distress Tolerance skills. These skills target reactivity and negative behavior by teaching individuals how to remain balanced and making the moment more tolerable and meaningful. We tailor groups to address the unique circumstance by focusing on challenges that interfere with quality of life.

Maybe you are struggling with time management or trying to adjust to your new role and identity. No matter where you are in your journey through motherhood, the time is now to learn that you can be the best version or yourself, not only for yourself but for those you love and who love you.
