I am a graduate from the Wayne State University/DMC General Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. I am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I focus on comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and individualized treatment of a variety of psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma disorder. My treatment modalities include medication management and supportive therapy. Our sessions will be held over video visits as this will allow me to reach a wide range of potential patients from all over the state of Michigan.

Recently licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I merge my expertise and skills to offer comprehensive mental health care. I've worked in various settings including inpatient units, community centers, and outpatient clinics, fostering a holistic view of mental health treatment.

I enjoy helping clients through their struggles with addiction and all other Mental Health Disorders. Intensive therapy and Medication Assisted Treatment are the tools utilized to helps assist you through your recovery. I practice adult psychiatry, including medication management and psychotherapy, tailored to individual needs. I have particular expertise in working with individuals experiencing significant loss, life changes, and problems in the workplace. Prior to starting my practice, I spent several years assessing and treating individuals with legal problems and a variety of mental health issues, including extensive past trauma. I enjoy helping people to improve their quality of life through facilitating introspection and developing insight and skills for managing emotional issues.

My goal is to provide excellent psychiatric care to people of any race, background, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, or abilities. When I see you, I see a whole person. Our minds and our lives are complex. Many factors, both extrinsic (such as our backgrounds, families, environment, stressors) and intrinsic (such as our genetics, neurobiology, hormones, physical health, etc) impact us and our well-being. Angela is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who works collaboratively with patients and families to develop an individualized treatment plan that targets each patient's unique needs. She strongly believes that the best psychiatric treatment combines therapy, lifestyle alterations, and medication when necessary. She offers a holistic approach to mental healthcare, looking at lifestyle choices including exercise, nutrition, and sleep. In addition, she is able to conduct Genesight genetic testing to assess how genes affect the body's ability to benefit from certain medications.

Dr. Seicarescu is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She received her medical degree from the Carol Davila University of Medicine in Romania and completed her psychiatry residency at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Seicarescu's approach is collaborative, supportive, and patient-centered. Her practice focuses on medication management along with elements of therapy from different modalities, such as supportive and cognitive behavioral therapy that are patient-tailored.

About me: I am NCCPA Board-Certified Physician Assistant. I received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and graduated in 2022 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Before joining the Michigan Advanced Psychiatry team, I worked in hospital medicine.

As a dual-certified psychiatric (PMHNP-BC) and adult-geriatric (NP-C) nurse practitioner I am able to draw on my experience to provide evidence-based care with from a holistic perspective. I believe a person-centered approach is essential to help people recover from mental illness, as many experience limited improvement from medication. If a client feels that traditional treatment has failed them and has a curiosity about alternative treatments, I can help them. I especially enjoy working with middle-aged adults who are having difficulty with life transitions.

As I matured, I puzzled over my grandmother's gratitude for waking up in her right mind. With 30 years of experience in nursing, focusing on women's health, school nursing, and finally psychiatry, I now grasp its significance. My preferred client is someone who feels overwhelmed by life's challenges, a mother exhausted by school calls, or a person hesitant about therapy due to cultural taboos. Those who seek to break generational cycles through learning and self-discovery are the individuals I aim to assist.

I evaluate and treat adults, families, couples, adolescents and children of all ages on an out-patient basis in my office. I often provide psychotherapy and medication when and if necessary. Disorders or problems which I frequently treat include intra-psychic conflict, relationship or intra-family conflicts, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, addictions, disorders of childhood, career issues, school issues, personality dysfunction, symptoms of post traumatic or acute stress, and disorders related to medical illness.

Denise is a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University, her associate degree in Nursing from Grand Rapids Community College, her master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and her post-master’s certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in 2017.
