Hello! I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I believe in holistic care, which emphasizes treating the mind, body, and spirit. It can be very scary to reach out for help, and often difficult to open up about our needs. My goal is to create a space for everyone to feel safe and welcome, so that they can receive the care they deserve. As a provider at Family Care Center, I offer medication management. Medication is a powerful tool that can aid you in your mental health journey. Medication reduces/ treats our symptoms, allowing us to feel healthier in order to dive into simultaneous treatments, such as meditation and therapy.

GateHouse Treatment is a drug and alcohol rehab center in the Nashville, Tennessee area. We offer Partial Hospitalization (PHP,) Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) services with an associated sober living component to help our clients achieve sobriety. Our medical professionals and staff are focused on the full recovery of the clients that walk through our doors. With decades of experience on the front lines of treating addiction, our professional and certified staff are well equipped to help empower our patients to overcome the helplessness, despair, and guilt that is common with substance abuse.

Common clients of mine are children, adolescents, and adults, struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and OCD among other psychiatric conditions. Individuals facing these symptoms may have interruptions of daily functioning. My clients need tools to manage their concerns and open communication to improve themselves and their relationships. Some goals are to control emotions and live a fulfilling life. The clients I see want lasting change because their conditions are keeping them from pursuing their passions and connecting with others.

Hi, my is Saydie Marshall and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I obtained my BSN from Jacksonville State University in 2020 and in 2023 obtained my MSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have always been very intrigued and interested in psychiatry. My passion for mental health grew as I experienced how underserved the patients were while working as an RN with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients on various acute inpatient psychiatric units in Alabama.

As a physician assistant, I have had the privilege of working closely with individuals facing a wide range of physical and mental health challenges. Through my experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of patient issues, needs, motivations, and goals. I believe that everyone has a unique story, and I am committed to providing compassionate and personalized care to each individual I encounter. I recognize that mental health is a complex interplay of biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors, and I strive to address all these aspects in my practice.

We are trained in complicated psychotropic medication management, multiple therapy modalities, and interventional techniques like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Ketamine Therapy and Tirzepatide. Al Mathewson is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2004. He holds an MSW degree from the University of South Carolina, as well as an MSN from the University of Tennessee. Tonya McCarroll is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2023. Tonya approaches each patient with empathy and active listening. She embraces patient-centered care by involving the patient in their care plan and respecting their autonomy. Tonya maintains clear communication and fosters a non-judgmental atmosphere. Outside of work, Tonya loves to watch movies and read mystery books. She also loves spending time with her family and her dogs!

I enjoy helping improve mental health issues so the patient is able to focus on what matters the most.

I enjoy working with patients in life transitions from elementary to middle school, middle school to high school, high school to college, and college to adult life. I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, and ADHD as well as trouble with relationships and family conflict.

My goal as a dual board certified nurse practitioner is to look at each patient from a holistic whole body point of view. I have found in my professional experience, and personal, women's health is multifactorial and is influenced heavily by outside factors that I can help you manage including, but not limited to, hormones, mental health concerns, and weight management.

I started my calling to help these individuals with my first degree, a bachelors in Psychology, from Mississippi State University. I later attended nursing school at Northeast MS Community College, and then continued my nursing education with a Master of Science Nursing degree, with a concentration in psychiatric mental health.
