Hello. I have a strong pull towards attachment-based and strength-based approach to therapy. I build upon this foundation with Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting (BSP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) as primary approaches, seeking to support insight and growth in clients who experience depression, dissociation, distress arising from trauma, attachment issues, and/or anxiety.

Throughout our lives, the events we experience distort, crack, and chip away at the lens through which we see the world. These distortions could be serious fissures and created by a single incident or they could be many minor chips created over years of toxic experience or chronic stress. Our views and the distortions in that lens inherently alter the way in which we interact with the world. She has extensive expertise in the treatment of sexual addiction and was mentored by and worked alongside Dr. Patrick Carnes, the pioneer in sexual addiction research and treatment. Heidi recognizes the importance of having a therapist who understands the complexities of addiction. She works with individuals who have suffered from the effects of substance abuse, sex addiction, and those who have been affected by a loved one's addiction. She offers five day intensive retreats and Equine Assisted Therapy at Fourth Dimension Healing Ranch.
