I work with Children, Adolescents and young adults from various backgrounds supporting them with self-compassion, emotional resilience, feeling empowered in their identity and connecting to self. As we walk alongside each other on this path I will support you in accepting, embracing and nurturing even the scariest most challenging emotions; grief, anger, anxiety, loneliness, depression.

As an experienced and continually improving clinician, Lisa K. Terwilliger's work has included a wide range of client populations from children, youth, young adults in the college setting. Adults in crisis, elders, families in crisis, persons with developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. And those recovering from sexual offending and victims of sexual abuse and various traumas. She brings a focus on resiliency, strengths training, feedback informed, trauma-informed and holistic care for the mind, body, and spirit to her work.

Julie is an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician who believes the most important thing we can do for our kids is meet them where they are, as they are. It is her goal to create a therapy space that feels warm, welcoming, and safe for children and teens come as their most authentic selves. She believes that therapy can be a space for laughter, tears, anger, joy, grief, pain and so much more. She believes in authenticity, a genuine connection, and sharing of the journey. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and humanistic traditions to tailor treatment to your unique needs and preferences. I recognize the importance of creating a safe and affirming space where clients of all backgrounds, including Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, can feel seen, heard, and valued. I am committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, prejudice, and bias.

I am trained in Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and Cognitive Processing. I combine these modalities with my years of schooling, counseling experience, and life experience to help you obtain the skills to live your best life. I combine traditional talk therapy with therapeutic techniques and humor. I believe in an empathic and non-judgmental approach to therapy. My specialty areas: trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client’s individual needs to help attain the personal growth they're striving for.
