I have extensive experience in working with people who have lived through less than ideal circumstances. Many of my clients have learned to overcome sexual abuse, have been able to move past the pains brought on by physical violence, many have worked through horrific memories of active duty, and others have learned to enjoy life even after making some poor decisions that will impact them forever.

My approach is holistic using the mind, body and spirit connection. I am experienced working with crisis, depression, anxiety, and adults who experienced childhood trauma. I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment for clients to begin to explore their thoughts, feelings, memories, and dreams,

I have advanced doctoral training in working cross culturally and with rural and indigenous populations. I am also a military veteran and have chosen to focus much of my career on people who have experienced trauma.

I specialize in helping children, adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families through the stressors of life by supporting person-centered goals to challenge issues like depression, anxiety, poor self-concept, shame, traumatic experiences, and relationship struggles. I also have experience working with first responders and with children and families in the foster care system. We all get stuck and feel lost at times. Having a helping hand can make it easier to feel better.

I like to work with families, including children of all ages. I also work with individual adults and occasional couples. I also like to work with military families. I am also trained in EMDR therapy and have even tried some of this therapy style with adolescents. I am also trained in perinatal mood disorders.

Although I began my clinical work providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other 3rd-generation, skill-based modalities, what I really love is to work with people who want to dive deep and process issues that lie beneath the surface. Hi! I'm Winnie, and my passion is helping teenage girls and women with anxiety and depression thrive. Do you struggle with insecurities, negative thoughts, self-doubt, and anxious thoughts that often leave you feeling crippled and paralyzed? I get it because I've been there. I know what it's like to feel misunderstood and feel like no one else gets me. I know what it's like to feel invalidated. As a mom and military spouse, I also understand the challenges that come with parenting and constant changes. Navigating anxiety and depression on your own is difficult. And finding a therapist who can relate to you is very important.

Every stage of life comes with unique challenges. Navigating those challenges can be overwhelming and feel daunting. Maybe you are a parent who has done everything you can to help your teenager but it feels like nothing is working, they are still suffering. Or perhaps you are an adult who is struggling with grief, anxiety, depression or past traumas that are negatively impacting various aspect of your life. There is hope! I enjoy working with both adolescents and adults. I have worked in a wide variety of settings including Alternative High School, Outpatient and Inpatient Drug Treatment, State Hospital, Community Mental Health Center, and for the past 3 years private practice. My background and years of experience includes assessment, interventions, crisis counseling, individual and group therapy.

Clients often come to me when they are exhausted from their thoughts, emotions, urges or memories. These issues can take a toll on relationships and a person's sense of self and leave us feeling isolated and alone. I work with people of all ages who experience common and complex circumstances including: depression, anxiety, burnout, the effects of traumatic circumstances (flashbacks, rumination, dissociation, avoidance, etc.), anger management skill development, codependency in relationships and establishing boundaries, ADHD and other neurodiverse thinking and social skill development for youth.

I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are and helping them find healthy ways to cope and achieve mental wellness. My areas of expertise include women's health, perinatal and postpartum support for both women and men, and other forms of support during pregnancy. Additionally, I offer testing services under supervision.

Telehealth Counseling and Coaching throughout the US. While working with people, I help them work through the process of engagement, healing, and growth. My initial approach is to see the greatness of a person. I work with people to help them see their own greatness noting that their behaviors do not define them. The behavior is unhealthy, not the person. Who a person is at the core is always great, healthy, and beautiful. As we pull apart maladaptive behaviors from the individual, I help people become actively engaged in their own therapeutic process beginning a journey of healing and growth.

Clients see me for a range of goals, challenges, traumas or current lifestyle issues. Some have a vague feeling that something is missing from their life's experience, some are clear what is not working but feel stuck in attempts to shift and some clients are therapy-savvy and looking for a supportive therapeutic presence.

I strongly believe that parents know their children best and I appreciate my role as a guide in supporting families and children realize their full capacities. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, Depression, Behavioral challenges, and Attachment issues. I've been privileged to see the impact play therapy can have on a child as well as the entire family system.

As a clinical therapist I am committed to treating the whole person; spirit, mind, and body. I am an EMDR provider and facilitate holistic treatment to adults, adolescents, and couples with a variety of needs.

I graduated from Kaplan University with a masters degree in psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. My personal journey has led me to focus primarily on the stressors that stem from trauma and severe life stressors. I have a passion for helping people heal in order to become the best possible version on themselves. I have experience working with clients both in residential treatment centers and in the community. As a retired military/veterans spouse, I have a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges our military families face; I am dedicated to helping them maneuver the different stages of life.
