Cayley is a M.S. in the state of Georgia. She has been practicing as a therapist for over five years. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Gwinnett College and a Master of Science degree from Brenau University. She has had success working to help adults and adolescents/teenagers with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, and trauma. She has also successfully treated individuals struggling with phase of life problems, financial stress, and attachment difficulties.

I approach counseling by creating a non-judgmental, laid-back atmosphere where you feel safe to be yourself and to share and process your experiences. I am a Black queer cis woman. I hold space as a guide and a supporter. I strive to make therapy accessible with clear, direct communication, warm energy, and pre-emptive radically inclusive stance. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Smith College School for Social Work. As a master-level social worker, I am currently pursuing my licensure in the state of Georgia under supervision at Heartwork. At Heartwork Counseling Center, we do not take insurance. We do offer a sliding scale. Our regular fee is $150.

As an intensively trained DBT therapist, I use a collaborative approach to help clients build A Life Worth Living. As a performance coach and certified personal trainer, I assist clients in integrating their health and fitness goals with their current lifestyle as well as helping them understand and manage the impact of their emotions on their fitness, health and day to day life. In teaching skills to both groups, I work together with clients to develop their own plan for overcoming the emotional and physical barriers currently challenging them and then how to create their path for moving forward and achieving their goals.

After 27 years of teaching, I retired from the innovative West Georgia Psychology Department, opening a practice in Atlanta, Georgia. It specializes in intensive psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My psychotherapy is informed by existential and humanistic training. I trained with the Jungian, Thomas Moore. I have engaged in learning Lacanian psychoanalysis since the 1990's. (Quebec City & New York City) Anyone who finds herself or himself baffled by patterns of unsatisfying behavior, unexplained physical or emotional suffering, or coming to terms with loss, may find my practice helpful. I help nerdy cool awkward teens and young adults navigate through a world that doesn't seem to fit. My clients struggle like you do. Despite being smart, funny, and knowing the ins and outs of their favorite games, life is hard. When they first come in, they tell me that they don't need therapy. They explain that other people don't get them, blame them, and expect them to be something they're not. They can't figure out where life went from sometimes fun/sometimes boring to unmanageable and overwhelming. They talk about their family not caring and not really having friends. They struggle to communicate with pretty much everyone.
