I am James Bernard Ma'at Kynes, an ACPE Psychotherapist, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor with AAMFT, and I have been in practice since 1992. I offer a safe environment that invites the seeker of care a place to gain a deeper sense of self-understanding and relief from his/her emotional, social, spiritual, or relationship distress. I offer services for individuals, couples, families, groups, and workplace organizations in hope that a process for healing and transformation with a greater sense of personal clarity can be experienced. I provide my services in-person or remotely.

I enjoy working with adolescents and families as well as couples who desire to find help and resolution. My other focus is helping couples who want to understand and love their partner better to enhance their marriage; or couples, who are in conflictual relationships that are struggling with disconnection and isolation. My passion is to come alongside young men in the process of self-discovery to help grow in awareness of themselves by helping to bring resolution to problems such as pornography, anger, anxiety, depression, isolation, emotional dysregulation, loss and grief, and spiritual confusion.

Hello :) I am glad you are here! I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) based in Georgia. I earned my Masters from Mercer University, Specialist from UWG and am currently working toward my PhD at UGA. I have been counseling for 7 years and I support individuals in addressing personal, emotional, relational, and psychological concerns. My passion is supporting people through their healing journey to ultimately become the best versions of themselves.

I am not what you probably think of when you imagine a therapist. I will be dressed casually. I'm not going to jot a bunch of notes while we talk, or ask you to lay on the couch (but the couch is available for laying, if you want). I'm probably going to try to make you laugh. We're going to get some work done in session, but it's not going to be as formal or awkward as you might expect from how working with a shrink is usually portrayed in movies and TV.

Educated and trained at Rutgers, Harvard, Savannah State, and the University of Pennsylvania, Michael Mack started his career over 25 years ago at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, where he focused in Structural Family Therapy (SFT) developed by Salvador Minuchin, a pioneer in child and adolescent therapy. In addition, he has been trained by the Beck Institute and Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech in evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
