I am direct and straightforward, while also being respectful and encouraging in guiding clients in identifying and utilizing their strengths to move forward toward their targets. My background includes 15+ years providing community mental health services for adults with severe mental illness and substance abuse. I also worked in Howard County Public Schools for many years providing crisis intervention to students. Following my undergraduate studies in Psychology and Music at St. Mary's College of Maryland, I earned a Masters in Social Work with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Maryland.

You’re someone who craves the ability to follow through, yet you feel controlled by a lack of motivation and self-discipline. Your actions may appear to be lazy and out of control, but in reality, you are burdened by the shame of not being able to “get it together.” You have a vision of how you want to show up in your relationships and life, but you’re unsure how to achieve it - I want to help you get there.

I am a therapist with 13 years experience who recently relocated to Maryland. I have specialized my work in the medical setting with those with chronic illnesses and have also cared for many in the LGBTQI+ community. I enjoy providing counseling to pre-teens, teens and young adults. I have had the privilege to witness the most vulnerable moments with my clients and then observe their growth, healing, and evolution. I would be honored to play a role in your journey too. The idea of therapy is challenging for some. I focus on meeting my clients at their comfort level and prioritize their personal goals and needs.

I specialize in adult individuals struggling with all types of issues: life transitions, depression and anxiety, addiction, bi-polar, OCD, and more. I enjoy working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. I employ a psychodynamic framework with most of my clients, however, I utilizes many cognitive-behavioral techniques and principles, as well. I especially enjoy the integration of Christian spirituality and psychology, though I welcome any one from any background. I believe that who we are is formed in relationship, so healing comes through (the therapeutic) relationship.
