I provide a positive and supportive approach to helping children, adolescents, adults and families who are navigating a variety of emotional or transitional challenges, including anxiety, mood disorders, school issues, family conflict and other sources of stress or disruption that may affect daily functioning or emotional well-being. I apply a person-centered and strength-based approach which involves respecting and encouraging a client's own goals and perspectives. I also work closely with parents to help identify practical and personalized strategies and interventions to address the many challenges that come with raising children and teenagers.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families. Most of my experience has been with Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression & Stress. I believe it is important for me to have a collaborative professional relationship with each client so that we can collectively meet the client's needs.

I have experience offering trauma-informed therapeutic services for survivors and alleged perpetrators. And I have offered counsel to many emerging adults struggling with fundamental childhood pain related to their upbringing and connected their experiences of racism, their ethnic origins, sexual orientation, gender identity, neurodivergence, and the many other multi-dimensional ways we can identify and be made to feel othered. As I understand trauma can be relational, as so should be healing. So where you may find value in intimate partner, familial, or group healing, I am happy to meet you and other willing participants there.

I work from the belief that clients are the experts of their lives, and my role is to create a safe/supportive space for us to collaborate in developing goals and implementing a plan for change. As John Donne said, “no man is an island, entire of itself,” so I also integrate contextual theories to address the roles family of origin, gender, faith, relationships, culture, society, ability and nationality play as we work towards their goals and develop/improve skills in mindfulness, awareness/understanding of emotions, thought flexibility, self-motivation, values-based actions, self-compassion and other cognitive behavioral skills.

I have earned my Master's degree in Social Work with a focus on children and families. I worked with individuals (adults and children from the age of 4) and families. I have experience with crises, substance abuse, behavioral issues, trauma, abuse-related issues, mood disorders, and psychosis.
