I will ensure that each supervisee gains advanced knowledge, a well-developed skill-set, and the confidence to pass the clinical exam; empowering each supervisee to become an effective and ethical, clinical social worker.

Every person has power in themselves, but sometimes it takes a little guidance to find it and use it. I also am passionate about exploring how the relationships of our past are actively affecting our choices today, and how we can use those experiences for the better. I am a licensed professional counselor in South Carolina, though I am currently living in eastern Pennsylvania, and offer over 16 years of experience in a variety of settings, having worked extensively with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples on mental health and relationship issues. We can work toward trauma recovery, overcome relationship obstacles, and address parenting concerns and executive functioning deficits common with ADHD. I can help you work through your life experiences, trauma histories, family dynamics, and relationships to heal your wounded self, feel more empowered, and become your best self.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Abbeville County through Due West Family Medicine. I provide a unique blend of therapeutic approaches (to include but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Play/Art Therapy, Stress and Anger Management) to best treat the source and symptoms of distress that many people struggle with. I enjoy working with people of all ages; from young children to more mature clients. I can work with individuals, couples or families and frequently utilize all of these as necessary for a well-rounded approach to improving mental health.

Dr. Jones graduated cum laude from St. Leo College with a B.A. in psychology. He earned his master's degree in clinical/community psychology at Francis Marion University. After working at the master's level to gain clinical experience , Dr. Jones returned to school to earn his doctorate. He graduated with distinction from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida in 2003 where he focused on neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment. While in Miami, Dr. Jones completed a two-year practicum in neuropsychological assessment at Mt. Sinai Medical Center through the University of Miami's School of Medicine.

I worked within the behavioral and mental health fields for approx. 10 years; with emphasis and specialized training in marriage, family, and couples' therapy, as well as, childhood and family based trauma. I enjoy helping people free themselves from the chaos and shame that come from maintaining unproductive thought patterns, defeated sense of self, and hypercritical expectations from themselves and others.
