It’s easy to feel like we can’t be ourselves. Sometimes, we end up stuck in situations that don’t make us happy. I want to help you find a safe space to explore who you really are, away from all the pressures, expectations, and past hurts. In therapy, we can work together to discover that the answers you’re looking for are already inside you. My goal is to help you uncover that so you can love and celebrate being YOU.

Divorce can be a scary experience for a child. A child can respond to such changes by having tantrums, refusals, and becoming more withdrawn. The guilt and shame of divorce can be so overwhelming that you do not know how to help your child anymore and fear that the divorce can cause damage to your child forever. The good news is, divorce does not have to be the worst thing you can do to your child. In fact, divorce can be a very healthy decision and help your child learn how to cooperate and grow, even under challenging circumstances.

Life can be tough and sometimes we just need some extra help in navigating our path. I have been a therapist for 12 plus years and love what I do. I meet clients where they are and hold space for each individual I work with. I love to help build the tools you may need now and in the future to create a happy meaningful life. I provide a non- judgmental environment and love helping people discover their strength within. I encourage self reflection, expression, and growth.

I know how infuriating it can be to find a therapist you can connect with, as I have personally fired 6 out of 7 of my own therapists. It’s important to note that I’m not your “typical therapist” (I dye my hair bright colors, will curse with you during sessions, and actively compete in powerlifting).

Are you feeling discouraged, exhausted, or disappointed with the way life is unfolding? Have you been searching for meaning, but coming up empty? Do you feel stuck in patterns that aren’t serving you? Now more than ever, people are recognizing the profound impacts of unprocessed trauma, grief, and conflict on their quality of life. Leaving these issues unresolved can shut down your happiness and lead to symptoms of depression and anxiety. I specialize in treating complex trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. My mission is to help you connect to your authentic peace and joy. I believe that pain doesn’t have to last forever.

Without careful attention and healing, distressing experiences can stay in the mind and body throughout a lifetime, causing intense emotional and physical pain that can make life very difficult. The great news is that real healing is possible — working with a trusted therapist can provide enormous, long-lasting relief. I believe in building a strong alliance with my clients, creating a safe environment to process trauma, anxiety, sadness, loss, or relationship issues.

I think we all want to find that balance in life; that wholeness and harmony we seek. One of the best ways we can give that to ourselves is through therapy. As a therapist, I get to help people heal from their past, find meaning in their present situations, and develop hope for their future. It’s a wonderful process to be a part of.

My work with clients begins at the heart using a strength-based, person-centered approach. Navigating life's uncertainties and learning how to grow through difficult times can be challenging. Past events in our lives are part of our story, but they are not the entire story and they do not define our whole life. I embrace people and their stories with an open heart and innate sensitivity. Creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment to explore relationship and life patterns that are no longer serving you is of utmost importance to me. Therapy is a journey that we can take together, navigating the challenges in a collaborative way.

Change is hard. Emotions can be intense. Most people are not naturally inclined to be able to manage life's stresses. That's where I come in. As the driving force for their own treatment, clients provide me with the "what" and the "why" of what they need and want to work on, and I teach them the "how" to help them achieve their goals.

Taking the initial step to go to therapy isn’t an easy one. You may be feeling hurt, unsafe, scared, exhausted, lonely, or even desperate. The list is endless. You finally gathered the courage to seek for help and really hope to find a welcoming therapist that will make you feel safe and accepted as you are. I make sure to create that kind of welcoming and non-judgmental environment for you, because if you feel truly safe then you can find the strength to look at and even face the difficult and traumatic events in your life.

"I believe that we all need someone to talk to that can offer support and really listen and accept us for who we are without judgment. I help provide my clients with a safe place to explore issues that are preventing them from living the life that they want. My greatest reward as a therapist is to help my clients discover their strength within that allows them to make changes in their lives. These changes allow them to look forward to a future and have hope."

Not accepting new clients
***Not accepting new clients at this time*** Trauma is timeless. Even though it happened a long time ago, it can feel as though it is happening now. Trauma can negatively impact every part of your life. Even a simple trip to the grocery store can feel overwhelming. Work can feel impossible and few people understand. I feel a special connection to anyone with trauma because I have experienced trauma of my own. You are going to feel cared for and validated.

You are capable and it's easy to create superhuman expectations for yourself. But when you are a helper who is supposed to have it all together all of the time, you can become exhausted, burned out, depressed, isolated, numb, anxious, overwhelmed, reactive, resentful, and traumatized. Your sleep, job performance, and relationships can suffer. You might even experience compassion fatigue as you operate more and more in survival mode. But you are not alone. And you’re in the right place.

My ideal client is anyone that is ready to build an authentic relationship with me and engage in important self-work. As a team we will explore and clarify YOUR goals and YOUR needs. I have a Ph.D. in Counseling, and because of this I have received thorough and in-depth training in a wide variety of therapy techniques and practices. Some of these include self-compassion work, mindfulness, meaning and values-clarification during important transitions and decisions, as well as shifting unhelpful thinking and behavior. Together, we can figure out a process of therapy that will uniquely meet you where you are at. I am excited to help.

You've started to question your religious upbringing, and notice increased feelings of worry, panic, and feel unsure how to move forward. Perhaps your partner is undergoing a shift in their value system, and it's creating tension in the relationship. You feel like you're walking on eggshells when you try to talk about it, and you don't know how to find common ground. Everything you've thought about how life was going to work is suddenly turned upside down. I know how to help couples navigate changes in belief systems while creating ongoing connection. I have helped individuals navigate value shifts too!
