Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Early Access Multiplayer Beta Kicks Off Today

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Early Access Beta Game Pass August 30

The early access multiplayer beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has just kicked off today, and it will last until Wednesday, September 4. Players on all platforms who have pre-ordered the game can participate, and the early access beta is also open to subscribers to Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

An open beta will follow next week on September 6-9, and for Xbox players, Game Pass Core won’t be required to participate. Over the two beta weekends, players will be able to earn exclusive in-game rewards that will remain available when the game officially launches on October 25, 2024. The unique items include weapon charms, operator skins, and a weapon blueprint.

Six maps will be available during the multiplayer beta, where players are invited to get familiar with the new “Omnimovement” system that lets them sprint, slide, and dive in any direction. Various multiplayer modes are also available including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Order, and Face Off.

“During the first weekend of the Closed Beta, you can max out at Player Level 20,” the Xbox team explained today. While progressing down this path, you can unlock additional Loadout gear, the ability to create Custom Loadouts, as well as earn in-game rewards playing in the Beta and in Black Ops 6 at launch.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be the first game in the series to launch on Game Pass on day one. Microsoft waited until July to add last year’s episode, Modern Warfare 3, to the Game Pass library, so making the next game available on day one on a subscription service will be quite an experiment for one of the biggest and best-selling video game franchises on the market.
