About us

Give a Child a Family Africa (GCF) is a registered Child Protection Organisation promoting the rights and well-being of children and families. The organsiation's approach is fundamentally developmental and transformative: it offers an integrated suite of developmental social welfare services and support to build the resilience of children, families and communities to mitigate the risks faced by vulnerable children, with the objective of giving them an equal opportunity to enjoy their rights to family care, to survive, be protected and develop to their full potential. GCF's focuses on the following areas: Family Restoration and Preservation Services Children's Services Developmental Services Specialised Services GCF is currently embarking on a fully-fledged Transformational Care Programme expanding residential care services for children into the communities. It is complex and multi-faceted and moving children towards systems based on the prevention of family breakdown and a range of quality family and community-based alternatives are challenging but one GCF is prepared for, in “the best interest of children”.
