On Wednesday, March 26, TBWA\ Hunt Lascaris and Yellowwood will be hosting the 2025 Edges launch. We would like you to join us as we unpack the insights around the Edges that are shaping culture. This year’s Edge glossary comes at a time when culture is becoming more and more saturated with content. While it’s nearly impossible to find a brand today that isn’t striving to be culturally relevant, the reality is that most marketers who obsessively track “culture” are actually tracking a deluge of micro-trends that live and die online in a matter of weeks. But the hard truth is: THERE’S NO SHORTCUT TO CULTURAL RELEVANCE. In this year’s glossary, you’ll find 39 cultural shifts that can help brands become relevant with a capital “R.” They’re not momentary fads or fleeting trends, but a fresh outlook on the biggest and most relevant cultural conversations taking place around the world. If you wish to attend the event, please RSVP to the following email address: tsholofelo.bogatsu@tbwa.co.za. PS, space is limited so please RSVP promptly. #Backslash2025 #Edgeslaunch2025

Human nature says that creative bravery is in greater supply when markets and economies are stable. Yet, volatility defined 2024 (Go figure). From elections to a cost-of-living crisis, and generative AI transforming industries and opportunities, it’s a proper minefield out there. Our industry is rife with pressures pushing marketers towards what feels safe. Even striving for simple "relevance" often makes us look and sound the same, overshadowing the importance of distinction. This pushes brands way into the background, rather than keeping them where they belong, on the front foot. That's why now is the perfect moment for us to dispel a common misperception around our Disruption® strategy – that it is too risky in uncertain times. The truth is, not embracing disruption is the real risk. Brands need to take this opportunity to be brave(r). In 2025, we need to all commit to Doing the Brave Thing. https://lnkd.in/dVE7xiAg TBWA\Worldwide TBWA\ South Africa #thedisruptioncompany
