Last month, we saw the 2024 Paralympic Games come to a close. As a worldwide partner, we were immensely proud of everyone involved in making #Paris2024 unbelievable. “Mobility for All” is our mission, and we were honoured to contribute to more inclusive mobility at the Paralympic Games. Through accessible people movers, hydrogen-powered bicycles, prosthetic simulators, and more, we ensured athletes, their families, staff, volunteers and spectators could navigate the Games effortlessly and safely, thereby playing our part to make the 2024 Paralympic Games a resounding success. 🔗 : https://lnkd.in/dzQa5dAx

Team Toyota Specialized is dominating the trails with every ride in the mountain biking world. Since 2022, we have been a proud partner of the Toyota Specialized mountain biking team. The team, which features Matt Beers, Alex Miller and Johan van Zyl, has been impressive in various races this season, including Matt Beers taking home his third Cape Epic victory. But the relationship goes beyond the stellar results; all four of these athletes are incredible ambassadors for Toyota. The partnership with Specialized Bicycles Africa also brings two leaders of their respective industries together and we can’t wait to see this team go from strength to strength. To stay up-to-date with their achievements throughout the 2024 season, follow @Toyota_sa

As the mobility partner, we have sponsored 12 vehicles to be used by the organisers of this year's challenge. It's incredibly exciting to support this groundbreaking initiative in the solar technology space. Here’s to 63 years of Toyota on South Africa’s roads. The very first Toyota vehicles arrived in SA in 1961 and, 63 years later, Toyota has become as much a part of South African culture as the vibrant South Africans that drive our vehicles. With September being Heritage Month, we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate the evolution of Toyota in Mzansi. It’s been a long journey from those first Toyota Coronas and Tiaras that took to our roads in the 60s to vehicles like the recently launched, all-new Land Cruiser Prado and Hilux GR-Sport that we find all around the country today. It’s because of you, our loyal customers, that we’ve come so far. Thank you for all the amazing memories. May our journey together continue.

We’ve got big news to share. We are incredibly pleased to announce Toyota Tsusho Africa (TTAF), a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Ogihara (Thailand) Corporation and Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) have launched a joint venture in South Africa to boost local automotive parts and manufacturing. The announcement was made this week at the construction site of the future plant at Dube Trade Port in Durban. The new partnership is poised to significantly add to local manufacturing with the production of small to medium stamped parts for TSAM. Production is set to commence in July 2025 with an investment injection of over R1.1 billion into the production of essential manufacturing components. This strategic partnership will not only raise TSAM’s local procurement ratio by 2%, translating to an estimated R700 million in annual spend, but will also drive significant job creation, with 250 new jobs expected by 2026. This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to localisation and underscores the possibilities for growth and development in the KZN province. The future looks bright and we are continuing to do our part in leading the way towards an even stronger South Africa. Read more about the new developments here: https://brnw.ch/21wM1Kl
