On Tuesday 23 July 2024, we hosted our K2 Global Mobility Round Table event in Johannesburg, South Africa in partnership with our destination services partner Meryn Pringle and welcomed valued global mobility clients across all industries for an interactive discussion around current mobility challenges.   The discussions included Expat population trends, the current housing market in South Africa and how we can solve for an ever-changing mobility landscape. Today is Human Rights Day, in which we honour the journey of resilience, courage, and progress towards a more just and equitable society in South Africa. In 2024, we celebrate 30 years of human rights since the end of apartheid. From the struggles of the past to the triumphs of the present, we've come a long way. But our work is far from over. As we commemorate this milestone, let's recommit ourselves to the relentless pursuit of human rights for every individual, regardless of race, gender, or background. Together, we can build a future where every person in South Africa can live freely, without fear of discrimination or oppression. #HumanRightsDay

It's been a long and arduous journey, one which has taken our courageous K2 colleagues through Lukla, Tok Tok, Namche Bazaar, Deboche, Dingboche, Loboche and Gorakshep, climbing to a height of 5,357m above sea level. This autumn saw K2 undertaking our EcoVadis reassessment. EcoVadis is the provider of the world’s most trusted business sustainability ratings.  The first time that we were assessed by EcoVadis, in autumn 2022, we achieved a Silver Medal – very difficult to achieve in an inaugural assessment. This year, the first time that we were reassessed, we are delighted to announce that we achieved a Gold Medal.
