As we approach the beginning of the festive season, South Africans seem to have one common line: “It’s that time of the year.” 🪫😩 Employees can face burnout at any time, but when the candle is burning at both ends, things can become overwhelming - quickly! Here’s how to prioritise employee mental and physical health and enjoy the end-of-year hustle before the holidays begin: 🛁 Prioritise Self-Care: Encourage your colleagues to make self-care a priority. Simple practices like taking regular breaks, staying hydrated, and ensuring proper nutrition can have a significant impact on overall wellbeing. 🔎 Set Realistic Goals: Review the remaining tasks and set achievable goals for the rest of the year. Break larger projects into smaller, manageable steps. This can help reduce feelings of overwhelm and provide a sense of accomplishment. 💗 Don’t Be Afraid to Reach Out: If things get too much, encourage your colleagues to speak to their managers or someone trusted who can help before it all boils over! What is your advice for end of year fatigue? #burnout #wellbeing #crunchtime

Earlier this week, we connected with over 4,000 HR professionals who were eager to enhance their knowledge, expand their networks, and advance their careers at Africa's biggest HR expo - the HR Indaba! 🤩 We were honoured to have Jaco Oosthuizen, Co-founder and Managing Director of YuLife South Africa, take the stage to discuss the evolution of employee wellbeing through tech-enabled transformation. From Jaco’s presentation, we learned that: 🚀 Technology can enable disjointed employee experiences. Employers need to embrace tech with open arms and an understanding that it’s here to make the employee experience better. 👥  Employee wellness is not a tick-box exercise but imperative to a functioning business. ⚖️  Companies should embrace hybrid work and empower employees to attract and retain talent. The way of work is changing, and companies need to adapt. Together, YuLife is shaping a brighter future for HR in Southern Africa. If you saw us at our stand, drop us a hi in the comments! 👇 #HRIndaba2024 #YuLife #HR #Networking
