We are pleased to announce a significant milestone for Al Ghurair Foods with the groundbreaking of its new state-of-the-art Corn Starch Manufacturing Plant at Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD)! As the first facility of its kind in the region, it marks a substantial advancement in local food production, directly supporting the UAE’s National Strategy for Food Security. As part of a Musataha agreement with KEZAD, this 50-year land lease involves three expansive food processing projects, with a collective investment exceeding AED1 billion. The new facility, equipped with advanced technologies, will serve both local and international markets, processing 650 tons of corn daily, with the potential to scale up to 1,000 tons, and generating over 200 jobs for the local workforce. Commenting on the occasion, John Iossifidis, Group CEO of Al Ghurair, said: “We’re extremely proud to break ground on this new venture under Al Ghurair Foods, which represents another significant step in our journey to support the UAE’s food security ambitions.
