PROJECT COMMENCEMENT: CROYDON GROVE AGED CARE The first sod was socially turned at our latest aged care project for Opal Healthcare in May this year. The ceremony was attended by the project team and directors of APM Group (Aust) Pty Ltd as well as representatives of Opal Care, the consultant team and dignatories including Deputy Mayor of Maroondah City Council Paul MacDonald signifying the commencement of works on site. When complete the facility will feature views over Croydon to the Dandenong Ranges, offering 128 rooms situated over four levels and features a central social hub with café and wellness centre. Works are now in full swing on site with the recent erection of the tower crane as we close in on the first major concrete pour. APM Group (Aust) Pty Ltd were proud to recently attend the sod turning ceremony for our Ascot Vale Library redevelopment project for Moonee Valley City Council. The ceremony officially marks the commencement of the project and was attended by the Honorable Minister Danny Pearson, Monee Valley City Council Mayor CR Pierce Tyson, Monee Valley City Council CEO Helen Sui, APM Group Directors Matt Dole & Thomas Skinner together with members of the project team. Internal demolition works are now complete, with commencement of the new structure schedule to commence shortly. The revitalised library, scheduled to re-open in late 2025, will provide a significantly enhanced facility for the community to enjoy with an increased floor area three times the size of the existing building.

APM GROUP WIN AT MBAV AWARDS APM Group are excited to announce that our project, St Bernard's College - Seniors Learning Centre secured the Excellence in Commercial Construction $10M - $15M Award at Friday nights Master Builders Association of Victoria Excellence in Construction Awards. Constructed into the sites sloping topography utilising a bored pier retention system, the building is situated across three levels and comprises ground floor teaching offices and open plan learning areas and two further levels of classrooms arranged around a central amphitheatre with feature ‘stalactite’ ceiling purposely designed for the schools seniors cohort. We thank our client St Bernard's College for the opportunity to delivery this fantastic facility in collaboration with Matthew Pearce MPPM Project Managerment and Architects BALDASSO CORTESE. AWARD NOMINATION: 351 ELIZABETH ST APM Group are proud to announce the nomination of 351 Elizabeth St in the Master Builders Association of Victoria Excellence in Construction Awards 2024. Located on the corner of Elizabeth and La Trobe Streets in Melbournes CBD the project comprised the construction of an additional sixth floor atop an existing five level art deco building, the refurbishment and re-fit of levels 2-5 creating new open plan office spaces, the creation of retail space to the ground floor and the expansion of the existing basement. Externally extensive works were undertaken to refurbish and restore the buildings significant facade. Good luck to all the nominees in this category, we look forward in anticipation of a successful outcome at the awards to be held in August.

This month we took a sneak peek at the completed senior learning centre at Killester College. Jam-packed full of learning and collaboration, the contemporary, open, and interconnected St Brigid Senior #LearningCentre features 12 learning spaces, breakout areas, staff offices, a dedicated year 12 common room, a home for the PE department and a refurbished competition-grade multipurpose hall. At the main entrance, overlooking a central courtyard, a grand three-storey foyer and signature gathering space, complete with a fully equipped servery, connects the senior centre with the adjoining updated Kennedy Hall. Meeting at the new Officer Unit LHQ today to commence handover from CSBA/Builder to VICSES so we can do final operational commissioning, commence stocking and hand the new Unit membership the keys to their new home ASAP. The first of three new Victoria State Emergency Service facilities delivered by APM Group (Aust) Pty Ltd for our client Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria officially opened over the weekend. We wish the members of the Frankston Unit well in their continued service of the community from their new satelite facility at Skye.
It was great to join members of the VICSES Frankston Unit this morning for the official opening of their new satellite facility on Ballarto Road. This new facility will serve this growing area for many years to come. Thanks to Sonya Kilkenny MP and representatives of our partner emergency service agencies for joining us, and thanks to our amazing SES volunteers at Frankston for all that they do. It was great to spend time with these dedicated and enthusiastic people at the end of National Volunteer Week.
