Excited to announce we're a contender for the Public Policy/Social Impact Research Effectiveness Award! We are so proud of the work we've conducted for the Department of Transport and Planning in co-designing an accessible, inclusive and equitable public transport system, to provide dignity and independence to Victorians with transport accessibility needs. By directly engaging with individuals with accessibility needs, our research has informed key initiatives like the Transport Accessibility Strategy and the Accessibility Action Plan. We've also initiated trials of innovative navigation tools, showcasing how evidence-based insights can drive tangible change in Victorian public transport accessibility. This was an incredible team effort from our Insights team - a huge shout-out to them! The Research Society

Some lovely feedback from our most recent intern, Carlos who worked within our social team. If you are a university student looking for an internship, please email olivial@bastionagency.com
This week concluded my internship with Bastion Agency. The past 4 months with Bastion has been such an enriching experience for me! I was able to learn about social media content production, scheduling and reporting. Along with other aspects of social media and PR such as sourcing influencer talent for UGC content and creating PR packages. Overall, I had an unforgettable experience with the Amplify team and the office overall. They have been nothing but supportive, encouraging and invested in my progression and development as an intern at Bastion. I would like to thank everyone at Bastion who supported me along my journey!

The Bastion team were engaged by the ANZ L’Oreal YSL team to execute their activation for the launch of the new YSL Libre Flowers & Flames and YSL MYSLF Le Parfum fragrances. Installed into Westfield Parramatta from Monday 30th September – Sunday 13th October. The striking, minimalistic, and contemporary design showcased both the Libre and MYSLF brands within the YSL beauty brand. Including distinct areas for both fragrances, with black and white marble finishes, mirrored gold and silver detailing, and campaign imagery and copy featured throughout. Engagement touchpoints also included a vending machine dispensing samples of the fragrances, a 360 camera with a detailed Libre flower background, MYSLF selfie podium, and an engraving machine. The activation attempted to raise further awareness and hype for the YSL fragrances, encouraging interaction, sampling, and trial. Supporting wider activity for the YSL beauty brand in the AU market. Our Senior Writer - Creative Abbey Jane recently contributed to LBBonline - Little Black Book on the topic of ad nostalgia alongside other industry leaders. Take a read below.
Creative agency leaders including Giorgia Butler, Scott Dettrick, and Annabelle Antoinette R. debate whether a rise in nostalgia is “easier and cheaper” or “smart marketing.” As they tell LBB’s Casey Martin, the trend is a response to widespread uncertainty Read here: https://hubs.la/Q02Tcm9d0 Paper Moose, Bastion, Havas Host, INNOCEAN Australia, Wellcom Worldwide, Daylight, DDB Group Australia, M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ, Psembi Kinstan, Lee Lowndes, Olly Taylor, Abbey Jane, Oliver Hammerton

An incredible effort by Peta Frost and Naomi Sanders from our Queensland PR team, who led the media launch of the world’s first human clinical trial to cure paralysis. Our client, the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation (PCSRF) in collaboration with Griffith University launched the Nerve Bridge Transplantation and Rehabilitation Human Clinical Trial in Brisbane, offering new hope to millions worldwide with a spinal cord injury. The response has been incredible, with a live cross on TODAY, national news coverage, interviews on leading metro radio, and articles in major newspapers throughout Australia. Congratulations to the PCSRF for this remarkable milestone, which signifies a major leap forward in the quest to cure paralysis.

Feeling very lucky to moderate an amazing conversation with James Ellender Lewis Evans and Matthew Hart on fandom yesterday. One of the most exciting things was the willingness of the group to collaborate and innovate across their different mediums and that we truly are pushing the boundaries for understanding what people want from entertainment and how we adapt to give this to them. Thanks ALL - Accor Live Limitless and Stephanie Inglis for letting me show off my new haircut too.
