Thanks for seeing us off Canberra Airport ✈️ #WeAreRaiders
Since it’s purchase of the Airport in 1998, Capital Property Group Pty Ltd has invested over $2billion in aviation, commercial and retail infrastructure to grow the Airport precinct into a modern and sophisticated transportation and business hub worthy of the Nation’s Capital. Right from the beginning, the mantra of the organisation was to build the best small airport in the world - which has now been delivered.

We are proud to have received the Airport Excellence Award for Operations at the 2024 National Airport Industry Awards, hosted by the Australian Airports Association (AAA) this Wednesday in Brisbane. This award recognises our successful upgrade of the Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (AVDGS) with the cutting-edge Safedock FleX, a platform that uses lasers and 3D scanning technology to enhance the precision and safety of aircraft docking at Canberra Airport. A big congratulations to our partners and team of experts for making this operational milestone a reality.
In collaboration with UNSW Canberra Space, we’re showcasing a new exhibit highlighting key research activities from their transdisciplinary team, advancing space safety, security, and sustainability in partnership with industry and government partners. Don’t miss this display, from now until 5 December.
Two weeks ago, in close partnership with Australian Federal Police, ACT Policing and emergency services, we conducted an emergency exercise to enhance our preparedness. These drills are vital in enhancing our readiness and ensuring the safety of everyone who passes through our airport. A special thank you to Qantas for allowing us to use the recently retired Boeing 717 - marking the first time we’ve had a real aircraft for such an exercise. Your support, along with that of all teams and organisations involved, has been invaluable in helping us stay prepared.
Happy Airport Safety Week! This week, we celebrate our safety achievements, foster a safety culture, and showcase our commitment to keeping Canberra Airport safe for passengers, staff, and all users. Thank you to everyone for being an essential part of this important initiative. #ASW2024
