Federation University Australia is rolling up its sleeves to ready Gippsland for the renewable energy jobs set to power the region’s future. ⚡ With Australia’s first offshore wind zone advancing, the University has launched its Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Training Centre (APRETC). Operating from Churchill in the Latrobe Valley, APRETC brings industry, community, and higher education together to build pathways to new jobs on the horizon. Pro Vice Chancellor Innovation Prof. Iven Mareels shared APRETC’s commitment to working alongside TAFE Gippsland and key industry partners, including Corio Generation, Iberdrola Australia, OSMI Australia, and Origin X RES. It’s places like Federation University Gippsland that are driving the transition to a clean energy future, and our Government is here to support them with: ✅The Net Zero Economy Authority – working with unions and employers to build good, secure jobs as we transition from coal to renewables ✅Fee-Free TAFE – ensuring local communities have the skills to thrive in emerging industries. ✅Future Made in Australia - driving investment in renewables manufacturing and clean energy. Together, we’re building a renewable future, made in Gippsland, for generations to come. #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergyFuture #FutureMadeInAustralia TAFE Gippsland Laura Macpherson Gippsland Trades & Labour Council VICTORIAN TRADES HALL COUNCIL Committee for Gippsland Erin Coldham Leigh Kennedy Mikaela Power Net Zero Economy Agency
