Euc’s secret sauce is a slightly complicated recipe. Every day it’s a different combination of the people, the mission, the patients, the place and the problems we’re solving. That’s why explaining ourselves to people outside of Euc can be tricky. This is why distilling our operating principles is so crucial. Check out more about our operating principles and how they work in the comments below.

What does a patient journey with our telehealth platform look like? Meet the Juniper patient journey. Our multidisciplinary care team supports patients at every touch point, guided by data-driven insights gathered in real-time. From their initial practitioner consult through to onboarding and ongoing management, patients engage directly with their practitioner via our telehealth platform, unlocking unlimited communication. They receive, on average, 10 touch points of communication from their care team within the first two weeks of starting their weight loss program. Typically, patients receive far more communication from their wider care team when compared to traditional in-person care. You can read more about our patient journey here: https://lnkd.in/gysVphUu

A lot can happen when 20 talented Eucalypts lock themselves in a room for the day… Our Growth and Retail teams recently came together for "Think Tank Day", where over 20 team members from Sydney and Manila joined forces to push the boundaries of innovation at Euc. Ideation unlocks our potential to explore new markets and enhances team collaboration. Seeing team members from different functions come together fuelled a hotbed of creativity and innovative thinking. And a bit of friendly competition between the three teams showcased the passion and drive that Eucalypts have to continuously innovate and improve. The Outcome? Watch this space… 👀 We hosted this creative marathon at the beautifully designed Chinatown Country Club, a stunning space to get the creative juices flowing.

Clinical Director | Specialist GP | GP Supervisor (FRACGP, AICGG, MBBS, BMedSci)

Plenty to reflect on almost 1 week after Burning GP from The Medical Republic and Health Services Daily, both for us here at Eucalyptus and the broader General Practice community. It was great to share the stage with colleagues (Darran Foo, Roy Mariathas MBBS, Max Mollenkopf, Ati Jhajj, Aaron Wong) from different areas in and around digital health and general practice, particularly on the agreement that we are ultimately aligned on how digital health technologies form part of the solution, not a disruption to established best practices. I left hopeful that we were able to articulate that the younger generation of GPs value the efforts of our colleagues in championing the patient and look forward to working together on establishing the stringent standards and guardrails that will uphold this through ongoing digital transformation. There will be progress - we will improve quality and safety in the industry, we will improve interoperability and promote continuity of care - but it will take a collective effort to ensure that we don't let division and fear continue to drive private organisations further from the health system, only worsening fragmentation.

Life expectancy has been steadily increasing in Australia. But so too have our rates of chronic disease. Yes — effective healthcare allows us to live longer, better and more productive lives. But it’s also increasingly expensive. $1 in every $10 spent in Australia goes to health. It’s clear healthcare spending is on the rise. But are improvements in healthcare rising accordingly? Lyndon Goddard discusses the state of healthcare productivity in Australia, and how digital transformation can make our healthcare dollars go further. “As a clinician, I could impact five, six, maybe 10 patients a day…. With telehealth, we are literally impacting thousands of patients every day. And because we track them over time, we can actually see the results.” One of the reasons why Dr Omar Alvi left clinical practice was that he wasn't making the impact he thought he would be when he chose to work in medicine. Now he witnesses the power of high-touch telehealth every day, building a strategy to support hundreds of thousands of patients. Keen to hear more insights from our clinical team?
