Under the auspices of the Pacific Judicial Integrity Program, the Court successfully delivered an advanced workshop on managing and reporting on fraud and corruption cases in Honiara, Solomon Islands from 18-20 June 2024. The three-day Workshop brought together twenty-six Registrars and Court Officers from 10 Pacific Island Countries, providing a platform for sharing best practice, experiences, and resources to broaden the knowledge, skills, and lessons relevant to their respective court contexts. The workshop discussed ethics and integrity, fraud, bribery and money laundering case types, procedural fairness, case management practices, security consideration and wellbeing. The advanced workshop was designed and delivered by Federal Court Judicial Registrar’s Alicia Ditton, Jodie Burns and Jo Wilson, in partnership with Chief Registrar Shemi Joel from the Supreme Court of Vanuatu and Ms Victoria Belo from the National Court of Papua New Guinea. The Pacific Judicial Integrity Program is funded by DFAT and implemented in partnership by the Federal Court of Australia and Papua New Guinea Centre for Judicial Excellence. #fca #pjip #auslaw
