Parlour Inc: gender, equity, architecture recently featured i2C Architects in their Equity In Practice series i2C Architects pursued B Corp certification after 25 years in practice to help guide the development of policies and procedures aligned with our existing values and commitment to people, community and purposeful architecture. Loren Willis offers advice on the rigorous certification process and shares the benefits of making meaningful connections with the wider B Corp community. “Our practice has grown from knowledge sharing beyond our own four walls. We wanted to be part of a wider community, to connect and engage with other businesses outside the architecture industry to broaden our perspective. B Corp is a global movement, not just a certification. It isn’t a tick box or a piece of paper to hang on the wall. It’s a challenge. We have to continually evaluate what we do and why we do it, through a lens of positivity.” Read the full article here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gehspgZ9 #GenB #BCorpMonth #BCorporation #EquityinPractice

As a Certified B Corporation™, we believe there’s a better path to a better world, one of action and purpose, inspiration and community. This movement is powered by an emerging generation of people using business as a force for good. We call it #GenB. This #BCorpMonth, we’re celebrating our work alongside thousands of other B Corps around the world. Check out our collective impact and learn how to support - or become! - a B Corp by following the hashtag #GenB Our Purpose Director Claire Bowles MSc , FRSA says ' Becoming a B-Corp has been an important step in connecting with a network of like-minded organisations seeking to create better structures for collaboration and regeneration. The meta crisis that we face cannot be overcome by single organisations working in isolation. It requires a team effort and really new thinking about the way we collaborate and work to shape a sector where social, human, natural and financial capital are valued with an understanding that business is one of the biggest levers we have to create value and positively contribute to our future.' #BCorpMonth #GenB #BCorporation

Congratulations Gavin Salt and Claire Bowles MSc , FRSA on delivering the keynote and moderating the panel discussion at the Property Council of Australia's Sustainability Outlook. Well done to all involved in making this event a great success. #i2C #i2Carchitects #events #sustainability #ESG
Australia’s position as a global leader in sustainability set the stage for the Sustainability Outlook, where the focus was on the importance of implementing all pillars of ESG. We heard insightful keynote presentations from i2C Architects’ Gavin Salt, Associate – Residential Lead, and Claire Bowles MSc , FRSA, Purpose Director, as they explored innovative projects currently underway. They shared how ESG principles, adaptive reuse and retrofitting are being implemented, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges of prioritising these approaches going forward. The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring Krista Milne 🌏, Chief Heat Officer at the City of Melbourne, Alex Sear, Director at ADP Consulting Pty Ltd, and Ian Van Eerden, Principal | Sustainability | Industrial Sector Team at Northrop Consulting Engineers. The panel examined what it takes to succeed in the sustainability space, emphasising the need for stronger climate change mitigation, effective governance, and a growing focus on the social pillar of ESG. We would like to thank our event partners, Northrop Consulting Engineers and RACV Solar as well as series partner, ADP Consulting Pty Ltd. Mike Zorbas Cath Evans, GAICD Adrian Byrt Chloe Hands
