At last week’s sold-out Victorian AI Skills and Jobs Symposium held by the AIIA, attendees came together to discuss what is needed to make Victoria the leading #AI player on a global scale. KJR’s Victoria General Manager Anil K. and senior consultant Renard Vardy represented KJR. The event started with conversations on how the cyber, data, and digital departments' graduate programs are equipping graduates for in-demand roles. Further, how Australia measures up against its peers in economic sophistication, investment, education, and creativity. This was followed by insights into Singapore’s initiatives for reskilling its workforce and a panel discussion. We explored strategies for the Victorian government to position Victoria - and Australia - as leaders in the global AI landscape🌏. Ideas included establishing an AI information hub, fostering shared investments, and enhancing collaboration between industry and government to promote STEM education in schools. These ideas will feed into a delivery by the AIIA to Government on policy direction for the future. A big thank you to Noodles 🤖 for organising the event, and to all the presenters and facilitators who led by example. 👍 #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #LLM #ResponsibleAI #AIML #AssuringDigitalSuccess

#AI Reshaping the HR Function. Yesterday, KJR’s HR and Operations team members, Sheemal Visun and Gina Duportail (MAHRI), participated in the Victoria HR Leadership Summit, a significant event focused on the evolving landscape of HR. The summit emphasised several critical themes, including building organisational resilience, leveraging the transformative power of AI, and fostering a people-centred workplace culture. 👏 A key focus was on the ethical integration of AI within HR practices, emphasising that while AI offers tremendous potential, it is essential to balance this with a commitment to human connection and cultural cohesion. 🤝 The sessions underscored the importance of developing human skills alongside technical competencies, recognising AI's capabilities are only beginning to be realised. Moreover, the insights shared throughout the event highlighted organisations need to prioritise trust in hybrid work models and invest in effective change management strategies. As the workplace continues to evolve, these elements will be crucial in navigating the challenges that lie ahead. Sheemal, KJR's Chief Operations and People Officer commented "Adaptability is essential for shaping the future workplace, particularly amidst complex social and economic challenges. For HR leaders, this means adopting flexible strategies and fostering an agile workforce that can swiftly respond to changing demands. By prioritising continuous learning and resilience, we can create a culture that not only survives but thrives in uncertainty". "We look forward to applying these insights as we continue to support KJR in adapting to the changing environment of tech", added Sheemal. #KJRlife #WomeninTech #ResponsibleAI #AssuringDigitalSuccess #Diversity #Leadership

ISO 42001 is setting the global standard for Responsible AI management. 🌍 The standard offers a robust framework for ethical #AI governance, focusing on risk management, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. It aids organisations in effectively managing AI risks, fostering trust, and ensuring secure, responsible AI implementation. While ISO 42001 provides the controls to have in place, it does not dictate how to implement them, giving organisations flexibility in adapting the practices to their specific needs. In this article KJR’s CTO Dr. Mark Pedersen expands on the risks associated with AI; KJR’s Stan Potums, a Machine Learning specialist and certified ISO 42001 Lead Implementer talks about his work with organisations looking to adopt responsible AI practices.   👉 Dive into the full story on how ISO 42001 is setting the standard here: https://lnkd.in/gPAvxrBj With over 27 years of pioneering experience in quality assurance and verification, KJR has been at the forefront of developing pragmatic approaches that ensure compliant and successful AI deployments.    #ArtificialIntelligence #ResponsibleAI #AIRegulation #MachineLearning #LLM #AIML #ISO42001

Last week KJR Founder Kelvin Ross joined a panel discussion in Brisbane at the AIIA event 'Navigating AI in the Public Sector'. Joining him were Marco Fahmi, Director of Strategy for Data and AI at the Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group, Lisa Green, Data and AI Solutions Executive at Telstra, and David Preston, Director of Web and Digital at the Queensland Department of Education. Moderated by Gisele Kapterian, Senior Director of Public Sector Strategy APAC, at Salesforce, Marco presented on QChat - Queensland Government’s own generative AI virtual assistant developed in-house by Marco’s team. The panel engaged in robust discussion on the agreed opportunities #AI is and will provide government and industry. Importantly, in order to ensure that trust of both AI technology and its end-users, there is the paramount need to adhere to secure guardrails in the development and application of such technology. Staff training has been key for both government and Telstra staff in their respective AI rollouts. Lisa highlighted Telstra’s deployment of the AI Assistant Copilot for Microsoft 365 to its staff will see training instigated for all applicable staff. The interaction between technology, data and AI also exposed some thought-provoking views. Kelvin commented “ Whilst AI is already delivering incremental efficiency gains on top of our current IT systems, the real gains as we move forward will be rethinking ways businesses interact with their customers. Ultimately the biggest benefit is that AI could enable a completely new way for us to interact with technology and data, and is quite different to the way we think about IT systems now. Maybe AI makes our IT systems more human! ”. With over 27 years of pioneering experience in quality assurance and verification, KJR has been at the forefront of developing pragmatic approaches that ensure compliant and successful AI deployments. #ArtificialIntelligence #AIGovernance #ResponsibleAI #AIAdoption #AIML #AssuringDigitalSuccess #AItesting Graham Cummins
