Connecting Australia to clean, low-cost and reliable energy

About us

Marinus Link is a proposed electricity and telecommunications interconnector between Tasmania and Victoria. It will enable the flow of electricity in both directions between the two states, delivering low-cost, reliable and clean energy for customers in the National Electricity Market. It will cross Bass Strait, connecting into existing electricity networks near Burnie in Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria. Marinus Link Pty Ltd is jointly owned by the Tasmanian, Victorian and Australian governments. Rules of engagement We welcome your feedback and encourage questions about Marinus Link on this page.
