The QIBN Team ended the year with a bang as they attended the Brisbane and Logan Black Coffee End of Year Gatherings. Thank you Waddi Group | Waddi Springs | Waddi Specialty Coffee | West Coast Waddi and GaWun Supplies for sponsoring these events respectively. To continue to support the awareness of Family and Domestic Violence in our communities, these events also invited donations of toys, back-to-school supplies and gift vouchers to support families affected by Family & Domestic Violence this holiday season. The idea for a gift drive was formed between Rachel Daniels, BlackCoffee Nation Engagement Coordinator and Michael Grundon, co-founder of GaWun Supplies and Purple Army. Make sure to join the Purple Army to help raise awareness and stand against the domestic violence of Indigenous women in our communities. #QIBN #QueenslandIndigenousBusinessNetwork #BlackCoffee #BlackCoffeeAU #GiftDrive #PurpleArmy Challenge DV #charitygiftdrive #IndigenousDomesticViolence #FamilyViolence #DomesticViolence

Last Friday, QIBN had their last community visit of the year at the Palm Island Christmas Cup. Despite the searing heat, the footy field was packed with teams, businesses and supporters. Big congratulations to the 2024 Men's Champions, Stumbo Walsh Memorial, and the 2024 Women's Champions, the Waandi Warriors! We also got to meet the Honorable Fiona Simpson MP GAICD and Deputy Director-General Robert Willmett while waiting for the plane back to Townsville. We would also like to thank Jeanie McIntosh and the Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council for being wonderful hosts during our trip. #QIBN #QueenslandIndigenousBusinessNetwork #PalmIslandChristmasCup #PalmIslandChristmasCup2024 #PalmIsland #Manbarra #manbarrapeople #Bwgcolman #bwgcolmancountry
