  • Some experts estimate that by 2027, tech giants like Google, Microsoft/OpenAI, and Meta might have gobbled up every bit of human-written text. 📚✍️ But it won’t stop there! Photos, graphics, videos, and audio are next on the menu. 📸🎥🎵 There may be some legal speed bumps ahead: * Copyright lawsuits: Who owns the data? 🤔 * Privacy concerns: Is your data up for grabs? 🕵️♀️ But, despite these hurdles, let’s imagine a world where AI has digested our entire recorded history. What happens when these models are trained on everything we’ve ever created? Will AI become our ultimate historian? 🏛️ Could it solve centuries-old mysteries? 🔍 What new innovations might emerge? 💡 The AI revolution is rewriting our relationship with information. • Ever feel like you’re drowning in way too much information these days? Clay Shirky had an interesting take on the subject, and he may have a point. Think about it... we’re not necessarily overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content out there. The real issue could be how we each filter and make sense of it all. Our ability to be good “filters” impacts everything we consume online - the sources we trust, the perspectives we get exposed to, how well we separate fact from fiction, and more. Do we perhaps we need to optimise our own personal filtering skills and become more conscious consumers? This could mean: 🔍 Being more critical of sources before consuming 📰 Be more deliberate and selective of feeds/follows  📚 Seeking out diverse viewpoints 📶 Disconnecting from the deluge regularly Improving our filters might be the key to navigating this ocean of content - to thriving rather than drowning. #InfoOverload #FilterFailure

  • Every year on June 20th, World Productivity Day recognises the importance of being productive as its growth is the key to long-term prosperity. However, despite employee engagement, employee experience, and well-being interventions leading to very high levels of job satisfaction, they have mostly failed to impact worker productivity. Over the decade to 2020, average annual labour productivity growth in Australia was the slowest in 60 years, falling to just 1.1%. Are there solutions? Yes, according to the ‘5-year Productivity Inquiry’ Report by the Australian Productivity Commission. The adoption of digital technology, artificial intelligence and data use by businesses are vital enablers of productivity. In addition, highly skilled and adaptive workers will also be critical to address this challenge. So, let’s adopt smart practices that allow us to achieve more with less effort because that’s ‘working smart, not hard’. #WorldProductivityDay2024 #WorkSmarter #TechForGood Source: https://lnkd.in/gyfCQ_sm

  • Figuring out what a company’s culture is really like during an interview is super important to determine if you’ll fit in and enjoy your new workplace. Forbes recommends candidates ask these questions to help decide if this opportunity will be a hit or miss: ❓ Observe Environment and Dynamics: Pay attention to greetings, office layout, and employee interactions. ❓ Ask About Values and Practices: Inquire about the firm’s mission and core values. ❓ Evaluate Interviewers: Observe their behaviour and communication style, particularly that of the Line Manager. ❓ Request an Office Tour (during a final interview): Observe workspace, dress code, and employee interactions. ❓ Seek Employee Feedback: Connect with current or former employees for insights. #InterviewTips #CompanyCulture #CareerInsights
