  • Bon Voyage Queen Anne Queen Anne has certainly made a splash since being docked in Darwin 🚢 Thousands of passengers have disembarked the vessel, with many choosing to stay and explore Darwin’s city centre on-foot visiting local retail, service providers and hospitality venues. Cruise passengers have been treated to a unique Territory welcome, with business and industry working together to activate high-traffic areas, including a traditional Saltwater Welcome and Smoking Ceremony provided by Larrakia Nation, Territory inspired animal encounters by Crocosaurus Cove and Territory Wildlife Park and live music in the Smith Street Mall supported by NT Government.   • Queen Anne has arrived on her Maiden Voyage into Darwin – and isn’t she a beauty! 🤩 Originally scheduled to arrive on Tuesday 11 March, the Queen Anne and her 2,555 passengers have arrived ahead of schedule, extending their stay overnight to soak up as much of the Top End as they can before they depart on Tuesday afternoon. Her early arrival will give passengers more of an opportunity to venture from the ship, embark on tours to visit popular hot-spots and explore our beautiful, tropical city – injecting even more revenue into local businesses. 💡 Make sure your business is making the most of cruise ship season by updating your tour or experience listing on ATDW, or dressing your shopfront to ensure it’s inviting to our visitors. The 2024/2025 cruise ship season is scheduled to bring 127 ships with a potential of up to 79,000 passengers, which is expected to inject millions into our local economy. 🚢

  • Have you heard the news?   Kakadu National Park is pleased to announce that the Yurmikmik walks are reopening today, Friday 28 February. This means another key product is back on offer for tour itineraries, providing visitors with access to stunning waterfalls, seasonal waterholes, and diverse landscapes in the southern region of the park.   The site was temporarily closed due to major washouts on Gimbat Road, but with roadworks now successfully completed by the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure, has been restored.   Tour operators are reminded to consider seasonal conditions, as we are still in kudjewk (monsoon) season, with high temperatures and humidity impacting visitor comfort and safety.
