Happy International Project Management Day! 🎉 Today, we recognise the people who solve challenges, adapt to change, and keep projects on track—no matter the obstacles. Project management is about more than processes; it’s about being nimble, responsive, and delivering outcomes that shape the future. Project management is constantly adapting to new technologies, processes, and shifting stakeholder expectations. Today, external factors play a major role - projects can no longer be delivered in isolation. But the heart of every project remains the same: great leadership, people, teamwork, and problem-solving. We invite you to share your thoughts with us on one or all of the following: 💡 If you could change one thing about how projects are managed today, what would it be? 💬 What’s the toughest lesson you’ve learned as a project manager—and how has it shaped your approach? 🚀 What trends or tools do you think will shape the future of project management? #IPMDay2024 #ProjectManagement #LeadershipInAction #ProjectSuccess

It’s fantastic to see ANC Delivers' Project Spark awarded Sustainability Project of the Year at The Faculty Awards of Excellence in Melbourne. This recognition is a testament to ANC Delivers’ commitment to driving sustainable solutions in last mile delivery, which sets a new standard in the industry. The success of Project Spark reflects ANC Delivers’ bold vision for fleet electrification, a complex undertaking that required careful planning and seamless coordination. We were fortunate to be involved in this initiative and witness the incredible teamwork that made it possible. Over the next two years, 112 electric vehicles and charging stations will be deployed across Australia, directly contributing to emissions reductions and sustainable operations. Competing against industry leaders such as IAG, Telstra, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, the Department of Education SA, SocialTraders & Mirvac, ANC’s achievement stands out as a significant contribution to sustainability. This project is not just about reducing emissions, but also about making a lasting impact on people, the planet, and the communities ANC serves. Congratulations to Joe Sofra and the entire ANC Delivers team for this well-deserved recognition! #SustainabilityLeadership #ProjectSpark #SustainableTransport #EmissionsReduction #ClientSuccess #ANCDelivers

Yesterday, we hosted the Victorian launch of our 500 Women in Property Program, and what an incredible event it was. Hosted by our very own Nicole Battley, National Director of Diversity & Inclusion, we kicked off the session with insights into the program’s expectations, goals, and offerings. We were honoured to hear from Carla Deluca, Partner at MinterEllison and representative of the Champions of Change Coalition. Carla highlighted the crucial role of sponsorship for women in our industry and provided updates on the impactful work being done by the Champions of Change Coalition. The event also featured an engaging panel discussion moderated by Nisha Rawal, Director at Urbis and co-chair of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. The panel included past participant Anna Arkell, Senior Associate at Ontoit, and past sponsor Scott Jensen, Senior Retail Manager at The GPT Group, who shared their valuable experiences and tips for maximizing the benefits of the program. This remarkable initiative continues to expand, with a record number of participants and sponsors for our FY2025 program. Congratulations to all the incredible women who have joined the program, and a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated sponsors (both male and female) who attended the launch. We eagerly anticipate watching all participants grow into exceptional leaders and expand their networks over the next twelve months. A special thank you to our National Program Partner, The GPT Group, for their unwavering support of the program. This month we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first train from Melbourne arriving at Maryborough Rail station, on the 7th of July 1874. Plico Design Studio are proud to be the Architects, Conservation Architects & Heritage Advisors for the redeveloped Maryborough Rail station for the Central Goldfields Shire Council. Historically significant to Victoria as an intact and important example of an opulent 19th century station, it was originally designed by Architect Robert Watson. Our works included enhancing the existing station with improved facilities for staff and visitors including DDA access, whilst respecting its heritage. Tarakan Street Social and Affordable Housing has won a commendation for Urban Design at the 2024 Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Architecture Awards. Congratulations to all involved in this project.
Tarakan Street Social and Affordable Housing has won a commendation for Urban Design at the 2024 Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Architecture Awards! In their comments, the jury said: “Tarakan Street Social and Affordable Housing proffers an optimistic urbanism, where density, affordability, and landscape flourish in dialogue. Skillfully massed, the housing is contextually agile. It steps from homely townhouses to civic proportions of six levels, respectfully evading the canopies of 20 mature trees and providing 130 comfortable homes in the same space as 13 homes across the road. Abundant public/private gradients are interwoven dexterously throughout with particular care given to the privacy of the ground level apartments. This is a rigorous, generous architecture.” Huge congratulations to the design partners Bird de la Coeur Architects, Openwork Pty Ltd and Tract Consultants. Thanks to the Urban Design Jury, we are beyond grateful.
