Vivid Ideas brings together big thinkers, dreamers and change-makers for an array of engaging experiences. The festival opens with First Light, a powerful First Nations celebration and Calling Country. Free #vividideas events include the weekly Firetalk series at Barangaroo Reserve, presented in partnership with Sydney Writer's Festival, and Endling, a major new physical theatre work performed nightly by Sydney's Legs On The Wall. In 2025, the Vivid Music program will feature over 70 music events with a specially curated program of artists from around the globe, alongside special events, interactive experiences and exclusive performances. Last week we announced the #VividSydney 2025 program, including the exciting news that the entire Vivid Light Walk is free for everyone to enjoy this year. In 2025 Vivid Light will come to life with immersive installations including a voice-activated animation, suspended swings and self-portraits turned into 3D projections. Attendees even have the chance to design their own projection which could be featured on the ASN Clock Tower with an interactive, community-made installation.
