#Mobility. Afternoon is dedicated to EMBRACER Capacity Building Workshop on "Reimagining Transport: Public Transport, Shared Mobility, and Autonomous Mobility solutions".
✅ Heikki Liimaitainen, Tampere University, and Mika Rytkönen, Remoted, shared with the audience the lessons learnt in Finland on #autonomusmobility. Trust, safety and security are important as confirmed by the previous test pilots carried out by Tampere. A user survey underlined how trust in both drivers and technology is a key element in affecting passengers' intention to use #autonomousvehicles. However, when dealing with #AV also infrastructures are a hot point as well as how drivers behave in the streets.
✅ Justus Teichgräber, Aufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH, and Jan Matussek, City of Leipzig explained how the region has a well developed transport #infrastructure, especially in the Northern area, and this helps a lot in the connectivity improvement as well as for the #AutonomousDriving development, where Absolut project is pioneering the next era of #autonomousmobility.
✅ Sarang Ali, TTS Italia/inBlenda, shared innovative way in building trust and acceptance in #CCAM. The Use Case 3 of the AI4CCAM project explores user acceptance of #automatedvehicles equipped with Vulnerable Road User (VRU) prediction capabilities. The Use Case aims to assess how VRUs interact with connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) before and after engaging in various traffic scenarios, such as T-junctions, crossroads, and roundabouts, within a VR environment. By measuring physiological indicators like GSR (Galvanic Skin Response) and EMG (Electromyography), AI4CCAM can evaluate changes in user acceptance, helping to enhance future interactions between CAVs and vulnerable road users.
