👔 "Just because you are a good expert does not automatically make you a good manager," says Maxime Legrand, CEC European Managers' President. https://lnkd.in/dsHKY8iX 📈 "We need good leadership, but only 36% of Gen Z workers aspire to leadership positions, compared to 52% of Millennials. Young professionals are increasingly cautious about assuming leadership roles due to: ✳️ Perceived risks such as work-life balance issues 🤯 Job insecurity and 🧠 Mental health concerns. If this trend continues, Europe may face a leadership gap, making it critical to rethink how we attract, support, and train future managers. Organisations must modernize leadership development by integrating mentorship programs, leadership coaching, and flexible career paths to address this challenge. Additionally, companies should better recognize the value of management roles, both financially and in terms of career progression, to make them more attractive. European managers are operating in an era of unprecedented change. Three significant trends stand out: 1️⃣ 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐀𝐈 Managers must lead their teams through digital upskilling while ensuring ethical AI governance. This is particularly relevant as studies show that globally, over 50% of employees feel unprepared for AI integration in their roles. 2️⃣ 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 Companies and institutions must rethink how they attract, train, and retain future leaders, offering more explicit career development paths and better work-life balance initiatives. 3️⃣ 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐂𝐒𝐑) European companies must increasingly align with green and social governance (ESG) principles. 📢 Les syndicats font front commun face aux racismes Le 21 mars, à l’occasion de la Journée internationale pour l’élimination de la discrimination raciale, la CFE-CGC a participé à la table ronde « Racisme, antisémitisme et xénophobie au travail : C’EST NON ! » aux côtés des autres organisations syndicales. Face à une recrudescence des discriminations en entreprise, l’intersyndicale a lancé une vaste campagne de sensibilisation et d’alerte auprès des pouvoirs publics. 📉 Des chiffres alarmants : entre 2021 et 2024, les crimes et délits racistes ont bondi de 30 %, tandis que les recours juridiques, eux, sont en baisse. « Beaucoup estiment que faire une réclamation est inutile et les expose à des représailles », déplore Claire Hédon, Défenseur des droits. 👥 Un rôle clé pour les syndicats Les syndicats jouent un rôle essentiel dans la lutte contre ces discriminations, notamment en accompagnant les victimes et en incitant les employeurs à réagir. Pour la CFE-CGC, l’implication des cadres et managers est déterminante. « Nos adhérents étant des cadres, des managers et des professionnels de l’encadrement, nous sommes les mieux placés pour détecter ces situations », souligne Anne-Catherine CUDENNEC, secrétaire nationale confédérale. 📚 Former et sensibiliser pour agir La CFE-CGC a mis en place trois modules de formation sur les discriminations et le harcèlement, ainsi qu’un programme plus large sur les droits humains. « Nous avons aussi contribué, au sein de la CEC European Managers, à l’élaboration d’un guide pour aider les managers à identifier et réduire les biais inconscients », ajoute Anne-Catherine Cudennec. 📢 Interpeller les employeurs et les pouvoirs publics Au-delà des actions en entreprise, la CFE-CGC plaide pour un engagement plus fort des pouvoirs publics. « Il serait intéressant de mobiliser la recherche académique pour évaluer le coût économique des discriminations dans l’entreprise. Cela permettrait, peut-être, de mobiliser davantage employeurs et pouvoirs publics », regrette Anne-Catherine Cudennec. 📞 Un numéro pour les victimes Rappelons que le 3928 est un service d’accueil téléphonique dédié aux victimes ou témoins de discriminations, les mettant en relation avec des juristes spécialisés. La lutte contre le racisme et les discriminations est l’affaire de tous. La CFE-CGC réaffirme son engagement et appelle à une mobilisation collective pour un environnement de travail plus juste et inclusif.

Partiti dalla ricerca dell’Università della Danimarca meridionale sono stati raccolti molteplici dati che hanno aiutato ad individuare varie situazioni di disagio che i lavoratori e le lavoratrici affrontano nel mondo di lavoro. 🗣️ While many organisations conduct exit interviews as a routine HR formality, few use them as strategic instruments for inclusion and improvement. 📊 We recommend managers to pay closer attention to an often-overlooked source of truth: Departing employees.
