📢 That's a wrap from Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, where the #AnnualPOLISConference took place! We were incredibly excited to participate in Europe’s leading event on sustainable #UrbanMobility and honored to present the European DISCO Project, coordinated by FIT 🙌🏻 🗣️ Yesterday, Paola Cossu, CEO of FIT, took the stage as a speaker in the session “UNLOCKING THE #LASTMILE: INNOVATIONS IN #URBANFREIGHT” moderated by Ioanna Fergadiotou, INLECOM. Paola shared insights on leveraging the power of #Logistics and #UrbanPlanning through the #PhysicalInternet, using dynamic, data-driven land use. 💡 Joining her on stage were Domien Stubbe, from the Vlaams Instituut voor Logistiek (VIL), who spoke about Urban Access Control for City Logistics Freight, with a special focus on #Ghent, Belgium, one of the Living Labs of the DISCO project; and Satu Reijonen from Forum Virium Helsinki, who highlighted how to create value for urban logistics stakeholders by demonstrating innovative and sustainable ADV solutions and enabling consolidation at shared micro-hubs, with reference to #Helsinki's implementations in the #DISCOproject and URBANE Project (in which FIT is a partner). 🔍 Furthermore, it was both useful and interesting to share experiences with other #EuropeanProjects dedicated to #LastMileUrbanLogistics, presented in the same session by Luigi Russi, Municipality of Bologna; Dr.-Ing. Christoph Rentschler, Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft mbH; Eloísa Álvarez de Perea Llamas, EMT Madrid; and Clarissa Reali, Interface Transport. The POLIS Network Annual Conference was an incredible event, once again shining a spotlight on critical topics shaping the future of logistics. 🚀 We had a fantastic time at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona from 5-7 November, where FOREMAST joined a panel discussion on Multimodal Smart City Mobility and Logistics! Represented by Jeanett Bolther, PNO Consultants and together with other leading projects: SYNCHROMODE Project, DISCO Project, SPINE, and CLEVER, we explored how synchronized, multimodal transport systems are transforming urban mobility across Europe. During the panel session, experts shared insights into integrating advanced traffic management, zero-emission freight, and public transport systems to create cleaner, more efficient cities. FOREMAST highlighted our innovative work with automated logistics vessels and discussed practical challenges and solutions for scaling sustainable mobility initiatives. What an exciting week it's been for DISCO! 🎉   At the Smart City Expo World Congress in #Barcelona, DISCO was presented during a booth session on 'Multimodal Smart City Mobility and Logistics in a Synchronized Approach' 💡📦 The panel featured insights from DISCO as well as other fellow EU-funded projects such as SYNCHROMODE Project, FOREMAST, SPINE and CLEVER focusing on advanced traffic management, zero-emission freight, and climate-neutral transport.   This engaging session shed light on the integration of these solutions and the challenges of building a sustainable, connected future for #cities.    𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯, we also got to attend our partner ALICE, Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ETP LOGISTICS)'s Innovation Summit, where we shared an exhibit with our sister project UNCHAIN Project 💚 Not only did we get to pitch our ambitious project to all participants, but we also had a blast connecting with stakeholders across the entire #UrbanLogistics value chain 🤝 Get a sneak peek of the events in the pics below! 📸

🏙️ Meet the DISCO Project at the ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit! DISCO aims at fast-tracking upscaling to a new generation of urban logistics and smart planning. It enables the transition to decarbonised and digital cities, delivering innovative frameworks and tools, and changing urban Logistics and planning paradigm with a Physical Internet (PI) – led approach. The DISCO project is transforming urban logistics through a 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 using the 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁.
