Together with Fondazione L'Albero della Vita E.T.S. and CIDIS Impresa Sociale we've created a #childparticipation mechanism @ Comune di Napoli allowing high-school students to share their ideas and needs with local policymakers. Our colleagues from #Italy met with Andrea Saggiomo President of the IX Municipality. We hope to extend this project to different neighbourhoods and municipalities to ensure better collaboration between children and the local administration! https://lnkd.in/ducBqFQ8

What does advocating for #childrights mean to you?

What does advocating for #childrights truly mean? It means monitoring EU funds, laws and initiatives like the #ChildGuarantee. It involves gathering data and recommendations from our members across Europe to drive meaningful change. It means responding to emergencies such as earthquakes, wars, and pandemics and countering anti-child rights movements advocating for better protection of children and civil society in Europe. It means fighting racism and discrimination such as addressing how the #media refers to civilian victims in conflicts, which varies depending on where they are from or their religion. Eurochild congratulates European Commission’s Candidate President Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as President and welcomes her commitment to support families, housing, green policies, the role of civil society, as well as efforts to end conflicts globally. As the implementation of the #EuropeanChildGuarantee (ECG) marks its third year, we welcome the next EU administration to strengthen its efforts for the next generation of children.
