🇪🇺 #HL4EU Community Building Conference Recap 🤸 Yesterday, we were thrilled to gather with our partners in #Brussels🇧🇪 for our Healthy Lifestyles for Europe project (HL4EU) Community Building Conference, bringing together experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to advance cross-sectoral collaborations for healthier lifestyles across Europe. 💬The event was marked by an insightful panel moderated by our Secretary General Jerome Pero, featuring Juana Willumsen (WHO), Kitti Almer (Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU), Stefano Pintus (DG EAC, European Commission), and Dr. Ashley Ridout (Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine, UK). Each speaker shared their organisation's approach to promoting health through partnerships, such as the European Commission's #HealthyLifestyle4All initiative and WHO's work with sectors like education, urban development, and transportation to promote healthier communities. The Hungarian Presidency also shared insights about the future conclusions on action against cardiovascular disease. The speakers also addressed barriers like differing sector priorities, with examples from the UK’s Moving Medicine initiative on how to align health goals with broader sector interests. The importance of engaging local communities, civil society, and the private sector was as well highlighted through concrete experiences. 🙏 Thank you to all our partners, speakers, and participants for a productive day of knowledge-sharing and collaboration. We hope to continue building on this momentum together, strengthening networks and forging impactful collaborations to advance healthy lifestyles across Europe🇪🇺 #HL4EU #HealthyLifestyle4All #HealthCollaboration #EUHealth #Erasmus+

🌏#OpenTrade: FESI joins forces with 43 organisations to advocate for a strong, ambitious, and open 🇪🇺EU trade policy. Free, fair, and open trade is essential to keep the European sporting goods industry competitive. By reducing barriers, we can drive innovation, ensure market access, and support jobs across Europe. It also benefits #consumers by increasing choices and offering ever more innovative sports products. Together with the #OpenTrade coalition, we are calling for: 🔹Strengthening the openness pillar of EU trade policy by pursuing new and renewed trade agreements and improving market access. 🔹Having a dedicated trade Commissioner for this exclusive EU competence. 🔹Continuing to support the WTO and the international rules-based system to ensure a fair and predictabletradeenvironment. 🔹Increasing cooperation with third country partners and deploying trade diplomacy to support an ambitious open trade policy. With the upcoming parliamentary hearings to appoint the new Commissioners, it is a crucial moment to push for a trade policy that benefits all sectors of the EU economy, including ours. 👉You can find our full statement here: https://lnkd.in/eUd8mCDp spiritsEUROPE
