We’ve just released our 2024 Rab and Lowe Alpine Sustainability Report. For the last five years we’ve actively taken steps to reduce our impact. But realise that we, like everyone, must do more. Driven by performance and accuracy, we’ve taken the opportunity to pause, reflect, and change our approach. We’ve adjusted our journey with new GHG reporting methodology, improved primary data and recommitted to our net-zero ambition with new SBTi verified targets. Discover how we’re also taking action to ignite industry-wide change, improve standards in our supply chain, and foster partnerships for a positive impact. As our business continues to grow, we take the time to reflect on what comes next. Read our 2024 Sustainability Report👇 https://bit.ly/3mTUoZ2 #TheMountainPeople #WeAreRab

We are excited to announce Rab has secured three wins at this year's Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) Awards. The new Veil XP 30 claimed both the Backpack category award and the prestigious "Product of the Year" title, while the ultralight Phantom Jacket topped the Clothing category. The Veil XP 30 combines Rab's running vest expertise with the Muon pack technology to create one of the market's lightest fully-featured waterproof running packs. The updated Phantom Jacket now features a recycled face fabric, PFAS-free components, as well as a full-length zip for quick storm protection while maintaining its incredibly lightweight, packable design. These awards, judged by industry experts and voted on by consumers, highlight our team's commitment to innovation and excellence. We would like to thank our community for their support and their continued trust in our products! Discover all award-winning products now as part of our new Spring/Summer 2025 collection! This week, two employee ambassadors are joining 24 students on the residential of a lifetime with The Outward Bound Trust in Aberdovey! 🏔️ Our ambassadors will support the young people on a journey of personal development, inspiring them to believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible. But they won't just be watching from the sidelines; they'll be with them every step of the way, from their first dip in the water to the moment they summit a mountain. Supporting the David Nieper Academy, a local school close to our hearts and our head office, this is the fourth time our employees have been involved as volunteer ambassadors. We can't wait to hear all about their exploits from the residential soon! 🥾🧗🌊

Last, but certainly not least in our International Women’s Day series… Meet Gemma Dyer, our South West Account Manager, and resident product training expert! 💪 Gemma’s journey with Equip started almost 10 years ago, initially joining us as a Rab Training Rep, moving up to Training Manager, Product Marketing Manager, and taking the leap into the Sales team last year. Gemma has extensive knowledge of all things product, and when she’s not looking after our independent accounts in the South West, she’s outside- walking, climbing, and biking! 🚴♀️ Find out more about Gemma’s journey in our final article here 👇

Next up in our International Women’s Day series, meet Hannah Crane-Buck, our Creative Copywriter and all-round word wizard. 🧙 Hannah works on all things copy; writing words, proofing words… getting words translated. When you’re reading content on our Rab website, email campaigns, or even product tags- you know where they've come from! 📖 Outside of thinking of synonyms for ‘adventure’, Hannah spends her time dabbling in her favourite outdoor activities- climbing, skiing, diving, and caving! 🧗♀️ Learn more about Hannah in our second article here 👇

In the lead up to International Women’s Day we’re catching up with some familiar faces at Equip who are taking part in the Outdoor Industries Association (OIA)’s Women in Leadership mentoring programme. 🤝 First up, meet Rosie Helps, our Product Management Assistant. From supporting the development of Rab seasonal ranges and coordination of the product lifecycle, Rosie’s passion and enthusiasm shines through her work- and through her love for ultra running and triathlon! 🏃♀️ Read more about Rosie in our first article here 👇

Get off the beaten path. Hatch one-of-a-kind plans. Climb routes no-one’s heard of, make ill-advised detours, and grin through the mud when the weather takes an unexpected turn. Because we all know the most memorable adventures are a little out of the ordinary. #TheMountainPeople #WeAreRab

Odyssey of Loppa: traversing an arctic peninsula Now streaming 👇 https://lnkd.in/eTBaEvhc Firmly within the Arctic circle, Loppa is known for its wild terrain, and its remote location makes it much less popular for ski touring than other parts of Norway. Lisen Strøm and Thea Kopala Røhme settled on taking an ambitious route that traversed Loppa, covering around 62 kilometres and 4,500 vertical metres, crossing multiple mountain passes and linking several challenging descents that could reasonably be assumed to be un-skied. “I guess that was the whole exciting part about this trip, we didn’t actually know if any of our route, or any of the couloirs would work.” - Lisen Strøm 📽️ @andersvest #TheMountainPeople #WeAreRab

“Sometimes, courageous decisions are needed”, said Christian Schneidermeier, Director of the European Outdoor Group. We reflect on the sad news today that OutDoor 2025 has been paused. Trade fairs like these have been a cornerstone of industry collaboration for decades. We have been long-standing supporters of these shows, investing in them to drive the Rab brand profile and build relationships. The decision by the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and Messe Muenchen will have been tough but makes sense. Pausing OutDoor 2025, strengthening ISPO Munich, and driving an agenda of transformation will bring fresh ideas and new formats that offer real added value for industry participants. Something we are excited to see. Richard Leedham, our CEO, comments: - “We see events like OutDoor 2025 as a vital platform for connecting with our customers, industry peers, media, and partners. While we are saddened by the decision to pause the trade fair, we acknowledge evolving industry needs. We remain committed to trade shows as powerful tools that drive trade and dialogue. I thank the EOG and Messe München for their commitment and vision in OutDoor 2025 and ISPO. We hope to see something fill the gap in our diaries this summer – brands united, showcasing the importance of collaboration and partnership. We will be active in exploring what these opportunities may be.”
