During the IFB Members' Impact Day IFB launched ''𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁"- 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺! ✨ 🔹 By analysing inspiring examples and best practices from neighbouring countries 🔹By gathering inputs from various and diverse stakeholders in the Belgian finance ecosystem 🔹 By streghtening the legal analysis from the search partner - lawyers from Freshfields IFB proposes 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝟮.𝟱 𝘁𝗼 𝟰.𝟬 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼 in new capital for sustainable and impact investments. These are: 1️⃣ 𝙇𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 by repurposing State support for projects generating positive environmental and social impact.    2️⃣ 𝙐𝙣𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 to enable citizens to participate in sustainable growth in Belgium.   3️⃣ 𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 to direct part of their investments towards scaling societal benefits.    4️⃣ 𝘼𝙙𝙤𝙥𝙩 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨 at federal and regional levels to facilitate the transition to a sustainable and inclusive future. A month ago, Impact Finance Belgium released a 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 report titled: '𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺.' We saw the need to activate the private sector as a crucial partner and co-financier to support the Belgian government to achieve a sustainable future and meet the SDGs by 2030. In this report, IFB put forth 4️⃣ 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to unlock billions of additional private sustainable and impact capital in Belgium. IFB Inspires 💡 | Looking back to the SDG Forum 🌐 Today, Wendy Braeken was representing Impact Finance Belgium in a workshop during the SDG Forum at Flagey. Wendy gave an explainer and an introductory workshop on Sustainable and Impact Investing with an exercise to pinpoint where an organisation is in the ABC Framework.
