Our ability to reliably and affordably deliver balanced energy solutions, even as energy grids face growing demand, is underpinned by flexible generation assets. Our diverse portfolio includes reliable, dispatchable power from natural gas and battery storage. The ability to ramp up when power is needed most and ramp down when power needs are being met by renewable sources is crucial to a stable, lower-emitting grid. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3zMIQ3V

It was a pleasure to see fellow Canadian Hon. Stephen Lecce, Minister of Energy and Electrification for #Ontario on the ground at #ClimateWeekNYC! Our team, including CEO Avik Dey, are on the ground at events across #NYC participating in the key conversations that will shape our electricity system. Powering a clean energy future for North America is a collaborative effort on both sides of the border as innovators work to create, finance and build the game-changing solutions that will meet the needs of the energy expansion while providing cleaner energy. Ontario is undertaking some of the largest generation procurements in its history and Capital Power is proud to be a part of that story with projects currently under construction. We’re providing balanced energy solutions for the province of #Ontario and working alongside Minister Lecce to support a reliable and affordable power grid for local communities and businesses. Thanks to the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) for hosting an Energy Financing Roundtable, featuring our CEO Avik Dey! Connect with our team throughout #NewYorkClimateWeek to learn more about how we’re investing in a reliable, affordable and clean energy future: https://bit.ly/4gvH086
To kick start #ClimateWeekNYC, BCSE was thrilled to host a roundtable discussion with CleanCapital on #climate finance and the varied and innovative ways that investors, lenders, and corporations can fund #cleanenergy deployment. Global investment in the #energy transition hit a record high of $1.8 trillion in 2023, climbing 17% from the previous year. Participants pointed to new, innovative tools in the transition finance toolkit - such as green bonds, sustainable finance products, and dedicated transition funds - and strategic public-private partnerships as key assets for advancing this energy transition. Special thanks to White & Case LLP for hosting this discussion and to BloombergNEF's Tom Rowlands-Rees for kicking off the conversation with an overview of the energy investment landscape!
